Daniel parked the bus in a discreet spot near the safe house, the engine humming softly as he turned to face Helen, his expression tense with worry.

"Daniel, it's risky for you to get caught up in the army," Helen voiced her concern, her eyes reflecting the gravity of the situation. "We don't even know if your family made it to the safe house."

His hands gripping the steering wheel, Daniel felt torn. He longed to search for his wife and daughter himself, but he knew Helen had a point. "Alright," he relented with a heavy sigh, placing his trust in Helen's resolve. "Thank you, Helen. I'll keep watch here while you go check."

"That's a solid plan. I'll tag along with her," Victor declared, surprising everyone. Victor, known for his aversion to trouble, was now willingly diving into it, leaving the others stunned.

"You sure about this, Victor?" Daniel asked, his confusion evident.
