"Stop," the major general commanded, his voice firm yet tinged with a hint of resignation. He glanced at the group before him, their expressions unreadable. "Can't you tell by looking at them? They won't say anything even if you asked them or try to force it out of them."

"But should we at least try to interrogate them, so we can know? They are plenty suspicious enough. We saw a little child on their bus," the soldier pointed out.

"Forget it. I talked to the child that was with them, and she only said good things about them like them saving her life and taking good care of her. I don't see anything suspicious about them," the major general replied.

"Let them rest in the barracks tonight. Tomorrow we will send them to the camp. Also, don't forget to tell that soldier that was with that man that the commander wants to speak with him in private " the major general instructed as he walked away.
