I made a mistake don't open

Upon reaching the base, a soldier who had raced ahead of the commander's vehicle approached his comrades in astonishment. "Where are the zombies?" he inquired, taken aback by the sudden turn of events.

"They just turned away and retreated. I have no idea why," the soldier replied, his confusion mirrored by those around him.

With the base now devoid of the undead menace, the soldier wasted no time in relaying the unexpected turn of events to the commander via radio. "Sir, I've entered the base. There's not a zombie in sight. One of our men said they retreated, sir."

"There is no need to say anything, I can see them right in front of my eyes," said the commander, peering out from inside the armored truck. The sight before him was both bewildering and horrifying: zombies, usually chaotic and mindless, were leaving the base in what seemed like an organized formation. His jaw dropped as he took in the surreal scene.
