All Out

"Who are you, why is a demon of your level running around burning villages."

Hearing the question, Randy's mouth opened for some seconds and then he closed it, a clueless look on his face while he scratched his head.

With Baz squinting his eyes at Randy while clenching and unclenching his sword and Randy staying unmoving innocently holding onto his staff and scratching his head, close to a minute of silence passed between the two of them before Randy finally spoke

"See I'm not running around randomly burning villages okay, I'm only interested in burning this village, and for your information, I'm just recently realizing that I'm a demon, so you can be assured that I have no malicious plans for you."

After saying this, Randy looked at Baz expectantly waiting for the man to speak, but when several seconds later he was still silent, Randy spoke once more.

"Look I have nothing against you okay, you seem to be Melissa's personal guard or knight, so why not go back to her and leave, let's both mind our businesses, wouldn't that be better. I don't want to fight you."

"Neither do I" Baz gruffly said.

"Great," Randy said with a heartful laugh swinging his staff to the side.

"Alright, now get going, as for me, I have to..."

Hearing Baz agree to not wanting to fight him, the tense nerves which had been going through Randy relaxed and he took his gaze from the man to the houses around him.

Already making plans for how to go about destroying the rest of the village, Randy was just idly talking to the man when the world was suddenly bathed in golden light.

Without delay, Randy turned to his right and stared at Baz watching as the man was bathed in thick golden light and just as the radiance from him was beginning to die down, Randy felt a tremble in the air above him.

Immediately looking up, Randy took a subconscious gulp as his eyes were greeted by a gigantic golden sword the size of a 7-story building with its tip pointing at him, hanging above his head and falling towards him.

"Whaaaaat" Randy couldn't help but scream in total fright, but then just as his legs moved to speed him away from the danger, a sudden weight fell on him and pinned him in place.

"Though I don't want to fight you, I will be committing a grave sin by letting you live."

Standing before Randy, his seemingly normal clothes now gone only to be replaced by radiant golden armour that covered his entire body except his face, Baz looked like an angel and after he spoke to Randy it seemed like he was delivering justice to a sinner.

After Baz spoke, Randy didn't get a chance to spit out any retaliatory words as the gigantic sword which hung above him suddenly fell down while releasing blinding golden light.

"Haaaaaa" Randy roared as the sword approached him, his body suddenly becoming covered in purple energy and as this happened, holding his staff with both hands he thrust it up at the descending blade, pouring as much Riatsu as he could into the staff.

Observing the battle from a distance, one would see a gigantic golden sword appearing and then falling down to the ground like it wanted to insert itself in it.

Looking at the huge sword, everyone would think of it as heavy and unstoppable but further observation of the battle will show a purple energy erupting from the ground, rising like a tornado and engulfing over half of the sword and stopping its descent.

The collision of Baz's giant sword and Randy's staff brought about a powerful explosion that wrecked everything meters around the collision.

Without a doubt, the village was destroyed by the impact from the clashing energies, its existence wiped out from the face of the earth and then seconds later, when the power struggle had reached its climax a thunderous explosion that seemed to want to consume the sky and everything around it erupted.

The ground all around them cracked and split as if it was hit by this powerful energy and by the time the explosion died off and the overflowing torrent of energy died down, the area for over half a mile close to the battle site was nothing but barren burnt earth.

For a time, all that permeated the air was heat waves and thick dust clouds and when some minutes later the level of dust reduced and one could gaze at the exact site of the battle, all that could be seen was a man in golden armour standing at attention, both his hand firmly wrapped around the hit of his sword was stabbed into the ground.

The man stood unmoving in that same position like a statue and he would have continued staying like this if it wasn't for a set of footsteps sounding from his back and the quiet cry of a person he knew.

"Baz, are you okay," The soft worried voice of Melisaa asked, the woman standing up to 10 meters away from him.

"Yes, I'm fine, now leave."

"You think he's still alive, that was your strongest technique."

"I suspect he still is, and I'm taking no chances."

"Okay, but at least allow me to heal you even if just a little, if he's still alive then you need to be in your best state to deal with him, remember he can heal himself."

With Baz's face facing away from her, Melissa didn't see the conflicted expression on Baz's face as he bit his lips and then tightened his grip on his sword.

"Yes, you can come closer."

Hearing Baz's words, Melisa didn't waste a second to sprint towards him, and then wasting no time, she stood at his back and then pt her hands on the sides of his head, a look of concentration claiming her face.

After Melisa placed her hands on Baz, they became engulfed by a green light, and with every second that passed, Baz felt relief throughout his entire body while his breathing evened out.

Though the man had sustained no physical injury from his clash with Randy, like Melissa had mentioned the golden sword was Baz's strongest attack and having to try overcoming Randy's own attack had not been easy.

Not to talk of his mental strength which he had drained in summoning such an attack and then keeping it fighting against Randy's staff, there was also his mana pool which had been heavily drained.

Thankfully Melisa wasn't the average healer as while she was healing and soothing his mind, she was also able to fill back his mana pool and this was the main reason he had allowed her to help him.
