Stretched out at the entrance of the room, Desmond recites his last words.
"I would like to thank my parents for bringing me into the world and my uncle for trusting me beyond what was needed. I would also like to thank the famous rose for whom I would die a virgin, alone and single."
He takes strong inspirations and passes his hands along his hair, one after the other.
At the sound of footsteps approaching, he quickly opens the door of the room.
"Justin is coming. So is judgment time."
As announced, Justin arrives in the hallway. "Desmond. Have you taken care of my Lenore?"
With a fleeting glance and a sealed mouth, Desmond nods.
"Hmm. I’ll see." Justin enters the interior of the room and sees .. "A shower!" he turns abruptly towards Desmond.
The subject tense and unconsciously shifts to the right. He casts a vague glance at the teenager standing in the middle of the room.
Her eyes are wide open and her heart is racing. "The famous rose is back."
No time for Desmond to relax. The cries of his uncle brings him back to the present moment.
"Desmond! You showered him."
The young hunter swallows his saliva with difficulty and seeks an improvised explanation; "You better know. Not me, It wasn't me, I asked ... Aunt Nalea."
He smiles awkwardly and hesitantly. Justin breathes annoyance and enters the room.
"Never satisfied that uncle." He tiptoed and waved at Lenore." You almost killed me, little girl." He mumbles inside, without paying attention to his uncle’s black eyes.
Justin turns and surprises him. Desmond freezes and guesses it. "That’s okay." Desmond sighs and straightens up. "To the dungeon." Order Justin without hesitation.
Desmond breaks down and fades. He has no time to defend himself when Justin repeats his remarks;
"You’ll spend the last few days in it."
"What?" Desmond swallows his saliva hard. "It doesn’t smell good." He closes his eyes firmly and feels boarded by the guards away from the corridor.
“Will I be free again? Is this the end, the end of my one and only life?
