Chapter 21 (Third Part)

As time passes, Lenore savors the opportunity to be outside without chains, indulging in all the delights her mentor has brought her while he immerses himself completely in his art for a while.

"I believe drawing is his passion," Lenore secretly supposes, pulling a gummy bear-shaped candy with her teeth. She chews silently and suddenly sees him sit up. Instinctively, she quickly averts her gaze and gulps down the candy in one go, pressing her hands to her mouth. On his side, the alpha doesn't quite understand her reaction and doesn't pay it any further attention because the ringing of his phone still grabs his attention; he gets up from his seat, leaving his belongings on the table, and returns to his house to retrieve the object in question. Once in the kitchen, where he left it, he answers and places the device against his ear with an exasperated look at being disturbed at such a late hour.
