“Father, I’m sorry, what am I going to do? I have an entire schedule to review. Mine didn’t say this. You must survive, I cannot,” he stammers, looking at his friend’s head in the distance. “Father, I killed Absalom,” he says painfully, his hands trembling.
“Leroy! This is not the time to use your heart, go secure your family. You are an alpha, you know what to do, I’m counting on you,” says the father before leaving in lupine form.
Leroy nearly falls to the ground and feels a strong urge to vomit. He goes to Absalom’s house and sees Luxana.
“Leroy, do you hear those screams outside, what’s happening?” she asks with concern, struggling to move.
“Nothing,” says Leroy, holding back vomit. “Come, let’s play a game with Absalom,” he says, putting a helmet on her head. She asks what he’s doing, but he ignores her and covers her eyes with a blindfold. “Absalom asked me to take you somewhere else,” he says, guiding her along.
