Burning Jealousy

Everything happened so fast, and I felt like a prey being cornered with not much room to move about to get away from him. Raphael moved on top of me, straddling my hips as he captured my wrists in his large hand and pinned them above my head.

"What has gotten into you? Why are you doing this?" I snapped at him, feeling anger rising up inside of me.

"Why did you run off like that?" he asked after a moment of pause, and I could feel the undertone of anger in his voice. My eyes widened when I realized he must have been referring to the fact that I did not return to the party after supposedly taking a toilet break. Of course, that was just an excuse for me to get away from the two of them so they could spend time alone, just as Rosabella had wanted.

"It didn't seem like you two wanted me at the party. So I figured that I was just in the way and that I should leave to give you two private space to enjoy your date," I replied with a cold edge in my tone.
