Chapter fourteen

In a eyeblink, his hands clappe. With that sudden movement he created fireballs which hurled quickly toward her. Rebecca moved her hand in front of her, she squeezed her eyes expecting to get hurt but instead her gesture deviated the fire flames' path. Those hit a rock near her which burnt out quickly.

Roselyn's heart leaped into her throat. "Are you crazy?" She yelled.

Andreas said with a calm voice "good job. Now quicker."

As soon as she opened her mouth to complain, Andreas started to throw flames repeatedly.

She succeeded in protecting herself from the first ones that fly up to her but when the fourth one was thrown, she was not quick enough.

The flame hit her making her fall down the floor. She massaged her elbow where the flame hit her. There was a red bloody burnt.

"Not very quick huh?" He said raising an eyebrow.

She writhed as she got up. She pulled down her eyebrow together as she extended her arm. She groaned, using her anger to create an wimd storm that ran toward Andreas, he grinned with an amused look. He non chalsntly snapped his fingers, ice's splinters assembled, turning into a waterfall. Her Attack was hushed up with ease and efficiency. Andreas chuckled seeing her shocked faciale expression.

His laugh roused her anger more, this time her hands were aimed at the ground.

She closed her hands focusing and the ground began to shake strongly.

He looked down the floor. It only took him a frown to make the area where he was standing stop shaking. Again, as easy as a pie.

"Maybe I oversrimated you," he said in a solid voice.

He turned around to walk away. She burned with anger, she distended her arm and thrown a strong water flow toward him. He turned around and stoped it effortlessly once again.

He smiled, walking toward Becca. He leaned in, she was glowering at him.

He whispered close to her ear "you're predictable Rebecca. I've seen you use your powers just a bunch of times, yet I already know exactly what you're going to do. You can be the most powerful enchantress in the whole world but if you're predictable, even the weakest can beat you." He said in a soothing voice. His eyes vibrating into her. She was so mad that she wanted to kill him.

"Maybe you should teach me" she replied surly turning around as she frowned and curled her arms.

He shook his head "those things can't be taught." He took her chin making her face him again. He tapped his fingers against her forehead "I can't teach you how to do smart choices as that depends on your logic and intelligence."

He was leaning in so close that Rebecca could feel his breath on her lips. What was she doing?

She inhaled a deep breath as he looked down at hee lips, she felt a shiver run down her body. Damn, he was even more handsome so close. She could notice some freakles on his cheeks, his deep blue eyes and his purple full lips.

She nodded, trying to keep for herself the way that closeness caused her an odd uncomfortability. They stared at each other for few seconds until she attempted for an unexpected move. She laid her hand delicatelt on his abs, those were hard and warm at her touch. Her gesture surprised him, yet he didn't seem to mind, since he leaned even closer to her. Their lips were barely touching.

Rebecca placed her other hand on his torace, taking him by surprise she pushed him strongly few meters faraway by a wind wave.

"Was that predictable?" She laughed.

He got up, "good job." He said. His voice sounded weird and a bit disappointed.

She smiled proudly.

"You're learning." He said before he walked toward her.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked on their way out.

"Why didn't you show me the room full of my mom's pictures?"

"How do you know about that room?" He shook his head.

"I would have showed when It was the right time." He answers noticing her irritation.

"You can't decide when it's time for me to find out more about my mom." She raised her voice in resentment.

"I can decide if I kn.."

The girl intervened promptly "why are you like this??"

Andreas rolled his eyes.

"You think you're better than everyone, that you're superior, that you have the right to make decisions for everyone. My first day you were there judging silently me and my past when you're the first one to delude girls."

He rolled his eyes, "what does this have to do with your mom?"

She shook her head.

"How do you know about the room, Rebecca?" He folded his arms.

"Gabriel Smith showed me."

"Of course." His voice switched when She said his name. "And how do you know him?"

"God, Andreas. He didn't even know me and he told me about my mom, showed me pictures and you after what we.."

Roselyn spar out the anger she kept in for so long.

"After what Rose?" His gaze became serious.

"After.. after... after all the time spent together."

"Do you want to know the reason why I never spea to you about your mom?"

He waited for her to calm down and then continued.

"Over time there have always been two oppositions, in the magic world. The good and the evil. There are good wizards and witches and then there are the evil ones. Good and evil always fight against each other, to reach opposite purposes. Every wizard, after reaching their evolution's final stages and becoming a supreme magician has to pick their side, which will mark forever their path. However, in this school through tests and examinations we detect which side every student is inclined to. Your mother was good but she fell in love with a bad man. She was extremely powerful, way too much powerful, and when such a powerful woman is sided with a bad wizard, she automatically becomes bad for the magic council. Everyone started to look for them, to chase them. He was not harmful, but due to his roots, he was considered dangerous. That's the reason why she had to escape from this school, that's probably the reason why she abandoned you. Because your life was at risk with them."

He gave her the time to recover from the info.

"Very little people know that you're her daughter. Many suspects it. But nobody will have to know. Every professor in this school cares about you because, despite everything, your mother Angelina was an amazing person, very dear to us. That's why there Is a wall of pictures of her. I never showed you those pictures because you have to slowly learn all the truth behind it. Then when ready I will peovide you with all the answers you need. But meantime remember, not everyone who says is close to your mom is being honest nor has good intention. So please, remember not to tell anyone about this nor talk to anyone beside me and Margareth. I don't want anything to happen to you."

Roselyn nodded, sniffling.

"Thanks for telling me." She whispered. He smiled at her.

"Don't cry." He scolded when he noticed how his eyes filled with tears.

"You're stronger than this." He turned around and walked toward the exit.

While he was turned Rebecca quickly dried her tears hiding from him.

Was she really stronger than that? She doubted so.
