Hunting Zombies and Having Fun

In the heart of Florenceville, where the once bustling streets now echoed with the faint moans of the undead, four intrepid survivors set out on yet another perilous mission. Dusty, William, Samantha, and Sarah, moved with cautious steps through the desolate downtown area, their eyes scanning the crumbling buildings for any signs of life or danger amidst the eerie silence that enveloped the town.

After yesterday, Dusty had worried about Sarah, watching her eating the zombie flesh had a bigger impact on him then he would have liked to admit. He didn't tell the others as he didn't want to create any additional fear in them but he couldn't help but wonder how she was able to do it and what was keeping her from doing the same to them.

Trust, trust in her was all he had. Trust that her humanity was stronger than the cravings that she felt. Along with the nagging fear, was the pain and saddness that he knew she must feel.

Their first stop was the drug store, its once bright neon sign now dark and dusty in the dim light. As they stepped through the shattered glass door, the air was thick with the scent of decay and stale medicine. Shelves lined with empty pill bottles and overturned boxes stretched out before them, a grim reminder of the chaos that had consumed the world.

With weapons drawn and senses on high alert, they moved cautiously through the aisles, searching for any supplies that could aid them in their fight for survival. But their search was cut short as the sound of shuffling footsteps echoed through the store.

With a silent nod of understanding, they prepared themselves for battle as a horde of zombies emerged from the shadows, their eyes vacant and their movements jerky and erratic. With a speed that defied their jerky behavior, they moved toward the four. Dusty and William took up defensive positions, their swords flashing in the dim light as they met the undead assailants head-on.

But it was Sarah who proved to be the hero of the battle, her keen intellect and unmatched agility allowing her to outmaneuver the zombies with ease. With swift and decisive strikes, she dispatched the undead foes one by one, her movements fluid and graceful amidst the chaos of the fight.

As the last of the zombies fell to the ground, the group breathed a collective sigh of relief, their bodies trembling with exhaustion and adrenaline. With the drug store cleared of threats, they gathered what supplies they could carry before moving on to their next destination. As they walked past the bodies, Dusty glanced toward Sarah, wondering how she would respond.

Seeing his glance, Sarah lowered her head shaking it slowly knowing it was his fear of what he saw yesterday that made him look at her. Quietly, she whispered, "Please trust me, I can control it," she walked out of the store.

Their next stop was the bank, its imposing marble façade a stark contrast to the dilapidated buildings that surrounded it. Inside, the air was thick with dust and the faint scent of money—a reminder of the world that had once been. They knew they could find lots of cash but that wouldn't help keep them alive.

As they made their way through the silent corridors, their footsteps echoing softly against the polished floors, they encountered a group of zombies guarding the vault, or at least gathered around it creating the impression there was something there they wanted to keep safe. With a silent exchange of glances, they prepared themselves for battle once more, their weapons at the ready.

This time, it was Samantha who was closest and charged first, the others close behind. She and Sarah engaged the zombies. Meanwhile, from behind, Dusty and William finished off any of the undead that were pushed through, past the girls, with their swords movements coordinated and precise.

But from a pure numbers perspective it was Sarah who once again emerged as the hero of the battle, her quick speed and strong arm allowing her to disable the zombies' defenses allowing the others to succeed. With a triumphant grin, Sarah led the group inside the vault, where they discovered a small cache of weapons and supplies hidden away in the darkness. Someone had stored it there before the zombies had arrived.

Their search continued as they moved on to the clothing store, its once bright windows now shattered and boarded up. Inside, racks of clothes lay in disarray, their vibrant colors muted by the dust and debris that covered them.

As they searched for supplies amidst the wreckage, they were once again confronted by a small group of zombies, their tattered clothes clinging to their decaying bodies. There were only a few and they were dispatched quickly. They had devised a clever strategy that allowed them to trap the zombies in a makeshift barricade of clothing racks. With the undead foes incapacitated, they quickly finished them off.

Seeing there was a large selection of clothing around the store Samantha had the idea they should put on a fashion show. Everyone thought that was a great idea. Samantha told everyone to go and find two items they could model. All four set off searching the store. Once they were back they set out chairs and the took terms going into the change room.

First one was William, he had found a formal three piece suit with a bowtie and had. He also wore a white button up shirt. The girls whistled at him and told him how dapper he looked.

Next was Samantha, she had found a nice blouse and skirt set along with a few pieces of jewelry, high heels and nylons. She looked very professional in a sexy kind of way. William couldn't help but continuously compliment her.

Dusty was next, he had decided to wear a plaid shirt and work pants, he found work boots and picked up a pole to pretend he was a lumberjack. Everyone felt he fit the part to a tee. They it was Sarah's turn. Sarah was hesitate at first, but with a little coaching she came out wearing what could only be described as something their grandmothers might have owned. Samantha looked at it and shook her head.

"No, no," she said, "this is a fashion show, that won't do. Come with me." Taking Sarah's hand she lead her away. A few minutes later, Samantha came back and sat down. "She will be out shortly," she told the others.

A few minutes later they heard Sarah call out, "Are you sure about this."

Samantha replies excitedly, "Yes, now show us your stuff."

As Sarah steps out Dusty's heart skipped a beat. She didn't look like a zombie, she was beautiful. Wearing a short red gown with a slit up the side and a plunging neckline showing her generous cleavage she was a site to behold. Her necklace glistened on her neck and the red high heals accented her long legs. Samantha clapped her hand together and whispered, "I was right."

"Wow," was all Dusty could say.

William smiled and commented, "You clean up good."

Blushing, Sarah turned and headed back to the dressing room. Returning in the top and shorts they were use to seeing her wear.

As they emerged from the clothing store, their bodies battered but spirits high, they knew that their search for supplies had been a success. The also knew that this was the first time in a long time they were able to have fun and not worry about the world around them.

With the sun beginning to set on the horizon, they made their way back to their safe house—the Jewelry store in the center of town.
