It was New Year's Eve, and so the students were allowed to return home for a while. Izuku was enjoying the moment to spend time with his mother. Toshinori was also there, considering that he was dating Inko.
"You're planning on moving?" gaped Izuku as Inko and Toshinori dropped the news.
"Yes," nodded Inko as she wrapped her hand around Toshinori's, "I've always wanted to, but never had the chance nor money. I had some saved up, but it was always meant for your own tuition fees. The housing market isn't exactly nice, and to be honest, the apartment was always enough for just the two of us. It wasn't far from my usual grocery store, from Mitsuki and the others, from U.A., and from Rekai's dojo. It was perfect for us. But at the same time, it was a trap, a subtle reminder of my failures to both you and my old marriage. I was afraid of change. But now… with a new year coming, I want change. A new step into life without having to look back at this. A life with you and Toshinori."
Toshinori took a breath before continuing, "I don't exactly have a place I call home. Sure, I have an apartment near my old office, but I didn't really call that home. Just a place to live while I worked from my office. But now…. I consider my home to be with you two. There are several houses near U.A. that is near the subway station and buses that I can easily purchase. I've been a hero for so long… I'm ready to find some peace with you all. I intend to still help teach and raise you to become a hero beyond me, but I want to be selfish for once and have someone in my personal life."
Izuku blinked before responding, "I'm fine with that. But it's the fact that you two are moving together. Is that something you guys are fine with?"
"Ah, we haven't mentioned it to you yet," blushed Inko as she raised her left hand. On her hand, specifically the ring finger, was a golden band with an emerald stone on it.
"He proposed!?" Izuku half-shouted as he stood up in excitement.
"Yes," blushed Toshinori, "Just this morning actually."
Toshinori had actually wanted to propose on Christmas, but the two had been….. very busy. The two blushed crimson when the Koike family from below asked them why they had bells ringing throughout that Christmas night.
Izuku had mixed feelings. On one hand, he was really excited that All Might would really become his stepfather. On the other hand, he was worried for his mother, even though he knew it was foolish to think so. He couldn't help it. It was his mother, who sacrificed much to raise him and take the difficult road instead of following her ex-husband, who wanted to abandon Izuku just because he was quirkless.
Yet he knew he could trust Toshinori, he who entrusted his quirk to him. Not to mention Toshinori was always there to help Inko whenever he could. Izuku couldn't help but remember when Hisashi almost lost his temper and wanted to burn the Bakugo household, only to be stopped by Toshinori while in his weakened form.
"I guess what I'm also asking is your blessing in marrying your mother," said Toshinori as he looked at his successor, whom he also viewed as his son, "It won't be a grand public wedding. I've had enough of the public prying into my life. Your mother and I want a small private one."
Izuku couldn't help but wipe a tear from his eyes as he nodded, though not before giving him the customary threat of harming his mother, even if it was All Might.
"We've decided it'll a spring wedding," nodded Inko, "It's not much time to prepare, but enough to get everything in order."
The family talked into the night about everything before it ended with Inko and Izuku crying out tears that broke through the balcony window somehow.
Next day
"Keep up!" barked Miruko as she jumped over the edge of a building, easily landing on another one across.
Izuku didn't reply, but instead increased his pace to catch up with Miruko. He was trying to decipher how Miruko could be so fast and yet leave no damage. The hops she was executing didn't even leave a mark on the floor, while Izuku as had to press his foot down on the concrete to get the same result, leaving surface damage on the roof.
'Maybe it has to do with her footwear,' thought Izuku as he glanced down at Miruko's feet, 'Probably reduces the impact outwards while still maintaining momentum.'
Izuku made a note for to ask Melissa for that sort of upgrade if he could find out. Luckily, with his rubber body, Izuku could sling himself forward faster, utilizing Float to help course correct when necessary.
Miruko's ears twitched before suddenly launching herself towards the sides. Izuku quickly stretched his arm out towards a railing before launching himself in the same direction. Before Izuku could even react, Miruko was already on a mugger, kicking him before he could even steal his victim's purse. Miruko punted right to Izuku, who almost missed catching him, but managed to stretch his arms out fast enough to have them wrap around the torso.
"You need a better reaction time!" barked Miruko as she jumped up towards Izuku, "That's one of your problems is that you're too focused on something. You need to process everything at once on instinct. That includes running! You're too focused on trying to get the necessary power without leaving surface damage that you're missing out on things happening! Keep that slow ass up and I'll ditch ya!"
"Yes ma'am!" saluted Izuku as he gave the mugger to the police, who had arrived. After securing the mugger, Izuku immediately launched up to catch up with Miruko, who was already leaping ahead.
"Is there a set path you choose!?" shouted Izuku as he tried to catch up to Miruko.
"Nope! Just going as I feel like it," replied Miruko, "Having a set patrol route makes it easier for villains to predict where you'll be. Top heroes usually vary, but the bottom ranks keep a set schedule, out of laziness or something. That, and I hate keeping a schedule like that. But we are heading towards a specific location. There's a chance that there's a drug den in there, and I'm going to bust it open. You can pick up after me when I'm done, considering how slow you are."
Izuku felt his eyebrows twitch as he picked up speed to catch up to Miruko. There was no way he was going to lag behind everyone else!
Izuku managed to catch up as he landed next to Miruko, who was currently standing on top of a building, overlooking what seemed to be an abandoned warehouse.
"Is that the place?" asked Izuku.
"Yep," said Miruko, "They tinted the windows, but they didn't soundproof the place. I can hear them moving stuff."
"So what's the plan?" asked Izuku as he looked to the side, only to see Miruko already crouching down, her muscular thighs bulging.
"Attack," said Miruko curtly before launching herself right into the building. Izuku barely had time to react as Miruko managed to dive right into the warehouse, somehow spiraling right into a hole in the ceiling. The smugglers didn't even hear or see her until she landed right on top of some crates.
The smugglers could only gulp in fear upon seeing Miruko's malicious smirk before she was upon them.
Izuku quickly launched himself towards the entrance of the warehouse instead of going inside. True to his predictions, several smugglers came bursting out of the entrance, hoping to escape. The smugglers had triggers, but they hadn't even gotten the chance to use them before Miruko destroyed them. So escaping was their only option.
"Brat, you're up!" grinned Miruko as she slammed another smuggler into the ground.
Izuku raised his arm as he put power into his leg, ready to charge forward when….
Swish Swish Swish Swish
Several red feathers came rushing past Izuku, pinning the swindlers to the ground. Izuku quickly whirled around to see Hawks landing behind him.
"Hawks, you kill stealer!" roared Miruko as she punted another villain into her growing pile of bodies, "My intern, or more specifically, ME, had that! And what the hell are you doing here!?"
"Sorry, but I thought it'd be faster if I took care of it," smiled Hawks, "I just happened to be in the area when I saw what was happening."
The police were quick to arrive, arresting the drug den smugglers as Miruko and Hawks gave their report.
"Oh, have you heard of this book?" said Hawks as he pulled out a book from his jacket pocket as soon as they were done with the police, "It's been expanding like crazy after the incident at Dekai City."
Izuku glance over to see Hawks holding up the Meta Liberation War book. Miruko scoffed at it before stating that it was pointless for her to read something like that.
"You never know what you might find," smiled Hawks, though something on that smile didn't seem to reach his eyes, "Why not let your intern take it? I'm sure he'd find it an interesting read."
Without even hesitating, Hawks tossed the book over to Izuku.
"If you wanna just do a quick glance, I'd recommend going over the marks I made. The fourth chapter might interest you more," said Hawks, "Something you can probably discuss with your mentors. Now I gotta get back to my sidekicks."
With that, Hawks flew off.
"I ended up doing nothing," sighed Izuku.
"You're still learning," chuckled Yoichi from within.
"But you could react faster," nodded Nana, "You need to be able to take in everything at once. You're an analyzer, put that to use and broaden that spectrum a bit. Luckily, this girl could teach you that, and more, and you can also teach her some of your skills."
'You mean like Ghost Perplexing Step?' thought Izuku, 'Master Rekai… didn't forbid me from doing so, now I think of it.'
"That's nice, but I was thinking of her forbidden move," replied Nana, "Can you imagine her kicks from that? She's mobile and powerful enough to pull it off."
Izuku had to suppress a shudder at the thought of Miruko performing that move. It would be more devastating than Rekai could do it for sure.
'Was there anything else you need?' asked Izuku, 'Sort of rare for you to reach out to me like this.'
"Just wanted to check how you're using my quirk," said Nana.
"That, and a heads up that you'll be getting two more quirks at once, maybe three," said Yoichi.
'Wait what!?' exclaimed Izuku in his mind.
"You've gotten used to Float already," shrugged Nana, "No point in holding back the others. Danger Sense is similar to Observation Haki, though Danger Sense offers a higher passive if we look at it in game terms," said Yoichi, "Observation is better active. En offered up Smokescreen, as it works well with the Observation and Danger Sense. He says it's not too complicated to use, just need adjustments on how much smoke you make. Daigo finally got over his little episode and offered Black Whip even though you can stretch your limbs. It took the second and third user to come up with some ways to show him that his quirk can still be useful. Though they won't admit it, they might've taken a peek at your own analysis books. So Black Whip might be the third one we import."
"So I have super strength, Float, Danger Sense, Smokescreen, and Black Whip along with my 'quirk' and Haki," muttered Izuku
"Don't forget about one more," piped in the devil, "The original quirk from Yoichi, transfer. How else have you been able to share One for All with other people?"
Izuku blinked before remembering about that.
'So why am I getting all this quirk dump now?' asked Izuku.
"It's what the bird dude said," said the second user of One for All, suddenly piping into the conversation, "How he talked. It's like he was speaking in a code for fear of being overheard. It's what I've done before."
'But why me?' thought Izuku.
"Maybe your connection to U.A?" suggested Yoichi, "It's fairly known that Miruko doesn't exactly have an agency, so most likely, you'll head back to U.A. to sleep. Because of that, you'll be in contact with U.A. staff, especially Nezu and Toshinori. Maybe he wants you to pass the message over. He did mention mentors with an s."
"Oh, brat, let's go!" shouted Miruko as she launched herself up into the air.
Izuku had to shelve those thoughts away for now as he quickly jumped up, using Float to catch up.
Hawks had actually done this on purpose. He had already given one to Endeavor, but just in case he had been too subtle, he had chosen Izuku as the other. The HPSC was wary of Izuku, as they noted he was the only one who had not resisted All for One, but even aided in his capture. They had heard about the Quirk erasing bullet, and how Izuku had somehow managed to retain his quirk even after being shot. And finally, the incident at Nabu island.
The HPSC had wanted to recruit Izuku in, but it was obvious that All Might had his hand on Izuku. Not only that, but Nezu certainly wouldn't let Izuku go. There was an ongoing cold war between the HPSC and Nezu. But right now, that could wait for this upcoming threat.
Knowing that Izuku would end up returning back to U.A., Hawks was hoping that the information would make its way to the teachers of U.A., and ultimately, Nezu. They couldn't risk direct contact as it would raise suspicions. After all, it was a well-known 'secret' that the two did not like each other.
Himiko Toga was in a state of confusion. After winning over the Meta Liberation Army and having it renamed into the Paranormal Liberation Front, she was a lieutenant in the army. She was more or less on board with total destruction across Japan. Everybody she cared about was with her, and she didn't care about anyone else. Well….almost everyone.
Himiko wasn't exactly the most stable female teenager, and now she had one rising conflict within her. That conflict name was Katsuki Bakugo. In four months, they would proceed to destroy Japan once Tomura got his new powers, which she was excited about. But the problem would be that her… boyfriend? He would definitely be against them. Even if his whole attitude shouted that he would fit in with the whole Meta Liberation Policy, she knew better. He would never join them.
'Maybe I can at least get his family out of Japan,' hummed Himiko to herself. It wasn't a big secret to find out where his mother and father worked. They had researched that part when they had kidnapped Katsuki himself.
Himiko thought about it some more before deciding on how to implement such a plan. With the resources the MLA had, it shouldn't be too hard to get them overseas before the whole conflict.
"But first, maybe I should pay him a little visit," grinned Himiko as she began to skip away.
She just needed to find out how to do so without exposing herself….. Which is where Twice would come in.
Izuku made it back to U.A., dragging his feet along the pathway home. The area they had gone patrolling had been tiring, and it was closer for Izuku to just head back over to U.A. to sleep than head back with Miruko to her house/agency. Especially when she hadn't prepared an extra bed nor planned on having a male live at her place. Her current home was a mess with undergarments being strung across the room, so not an ideal living residence for now.
"Still, it is worth it for now," mumbled Izuku as he managed to get himself back into 1-A dorms. Miruko had been happy to use Izuku as a sandbag to relieve some extra energy after their patrol was over. The last thing he heard was Miruko cackling about something and planning a patrol at a different city.
"I'm back," stated Izuku into 1-A entrance, only to be met with silence. All the students were living at their work studies, leaving him the only one left in the 1st year heroic course still at U.A. Even Hitoshi was out patrolling with Eraserhead.
Sighing, Izuku made himself some quick and easy food before pulling himself to the showers. He had been forced to teach Miruko Ghost Perplexing Steps when he had used to escape her barrage of attacks, to which she took in with ease. Now she was turning so fast that Izuku swore she was leaving shadows.
Feeling better after a good shower, Izuku made it to his desk, booting up his computer to type in the information he had gathered today. Izuku glanced at the book that Hawks had given him, frowning upon it. He had never been a fan of the complete liberation of quirks, considering he had been targeted by quirks when he was 'quirkless'. He loved to analyze quirks, but it didn't mean he liked being a punching bag with adults looking the other way.
Suddenly, hands snaked over his shoulder before Izuku felt something warm near his face, the scent of a familiar shampoo passing through his nose as he felt hair tickling his face.
"Melissa," smiled Izuku as he leaned back to see Melissa right above him.
"Didn't think you'd be back today," said Melissa as she leaned forward, "When the sensors registered you in alone, I decided to take this chance to spend some time with you. Out of your girlfriends, I'm the one that doesn't get to spend as much time with you due to our department difference."
Izuku immediately felt sorry for that, but before he could apologize, Melissa snuggled against his cheek, "Don't worry, that's just me ranting slightly. I knew that this would happen when I entered into this relationship with you all. But right now? You're mine Izuku Midoriya."
Izuku couldn't help but shudder with excitement at Melissa's tone of voice before she suddenly shifted her body, swinging her legs over Izuku's thighs before sitting down on said thighs. Melissa leaned forward before making out with Izuku, who responded fervently. They kept it as long as possible until Izuku was the one to run out of breath.
"How?" breathed out Izuku.
Melissa smirked as a hand suddenly waived in front of Izuku from above. Izuku looked up to see at the palm of the hand was a mouth, or more specifically, Melissa's mouth.
"I don't even know how that works, but I can make another mouth to breathe for me. Certainly makes any sort of contest that involves holding your breath a breeze for me," giggled Melissa.
"That's cheating," pouted Izuku.
"Ahh, maybe I can make it up to you with round two?" whispered Melissa with her other mouth before her main mouth began round two once more.
Soon enough, the two were cuddling on Izuku's bed.
"What's that book?" asked Melissa as she noticed the book on the side before creating some hands to toss it over to them.
"Something Hawks gave me," frowned Izuku, "I'm not exactly a fan of it due to its message."
Melissa frowned as well when she read the title. She had heard of this book, though its popularity remained largely in Japan.
"I'm surprised that he would recommend such a controversial book," noted Melissa. True, I-island had free quirk usage, but it was mostly inhabited by scientists interested in furthering their studies in whatever field, and not for heroics or anything. Not to mention they had a top-of-the-line security system that they had upgraded even more after the incident.
"Yea, but something about his comments made me wonder," hummed Izuku, "Going over his marks? Recommending the fourth chapter? Yoichi and the others think it's some sort of code."
"Well then, let's see," said Melissa as she popped open the book, heading to the fourth chapter. Glancing over it, she saw Hawks had highlighted random sentences or phrases all over the place. Flipping through the whole book, she could see there were various highlights in seemingly random locations.
"Weird. Doesn't look like it follows anything important," frowned Melissa.
Izuku took a glance before agreeing with Melissa that it seemed rather random.
"Maybe give it to the principal?" suggested Melissa, "He might understand the code."
"Might be for the best," hummed Izuku, "I think he was expecting me to do so."
"Or figure out yourself," huffed the second user within Izuku's mind, "I already got a clear idea what the message was about. And no, I won't tell you."
Izuku frowned before deciding to put it off for tomorrow. He had something more important to do, such as cuddling with Melissa.
As they went to sleep, Melissa decided to take it a little farther by stripping her clothes off before getting in bed with Izuku. Though shy about her body not being as fit as the others, Izuku was very attracted to all her soft curves. Though not as tone, she still worked hard to keep her body fit so as to keep up with her inventing progress.
While they did not go all the way…. Melissa was more than willing to lead in exploring their bodies as the older one.
Izuku was already suited up, ready to go before dropping the book off at Nezu, detailing what Hawks had told him. Nezu merely flipped through the pages before assuring Izuku that he would deal with it. With that, Miruko was already tapping her foot in front of U.A, waiting for Izuku before punting him towards the direction they would be heading off to that day.
It took Nezu a minute before fully deciphering what Hawks had meant. Piecing it all together, he discovered what Hawks was trying to relay.
"So the Meta Liberation Army is still active, as I thought," murmured Nezu.
He never believed it was totally gone, despite others' belief. The evidence was there, after all. Destro's book kept being reprinted and shoved to the front of bookstores was evidence enough for that.
What was worrying was that the League of Villains had integrated the whole army into their ranks, swelling their numbers. Not only that, but they had four months to prepare before the now-renamed Paranormal Liberation Force would strike out. Nezu didn't realize just how deeply the MLA had infiltrated into society and government, but he wasn't going to let them just walk over all of Japan. That was HIS TERRITORY TO CONQ….. Ahem his nation that he was going to defend.
"It seems like the Hero Commission is desperate that they're willing to put our little quarrel with each other on hold," hummed Nezu, "Well then, I'll play along for now and use my contacts."
Sending a secure email to Nighteye, Nezu flipped open another computer before a face appeared.
"Any luck?" asked Nezu.
"No sir, nothing of what you described at Nabu island," said the man, "We've combed through most of the island, and the natives are happy to help us, but no fruit with swirls has been seen."
"I see. A pity," said Nezu, "Continue the search, but put it on lower priority."
Nezu had been betting that another Devil Fruit would appear after the incident at Nabu Island. There had been plenty of thunder in the area when Izuku was fighting against Nine. While he wasn't too worried about it, if another one came into existence, he wanted to have it.
"This time, we'll be ready," grinned Nezu.
"Where are we heading to?" asked Izuku as he used Float to fly above the buildings.
"You'll see," said Miruko as she hopped from building to building, "And what the hell is with your quirk? When could you fly?"
"Always, but I wanted more training running that day," replied Izuku without missing a beat, "I'm alternating."
"Whatever, we're headed over to annoy another hero that Hawks has already done," said Miruko, "Gonna show him who's got the better intern!"
Izuku blinked as he began to recognize where they were heading to before groaning.
Shortly after
"Miruko," said the hero after Miruko had intercepted a truck that almost hit a civilian, "I had that handled."
"You did, but I handled it first!" grinned Miruko.
"... Why are you here?" asked the hero, knowing it was a lost cause to argue that.
"What, this place your personal territory? I decided to swing by since Hawks did too," taunted Miruko, "What, can't handle the heat, number one?"
Izuku sighed as Miruko openly antagonized Endeavor while standing next to Shoto and Katsuki, who had chosen to intern with Endeavor.
"So this is who you chose?" asked Shoto curiously.
"Yea, figured her moveset would work a bit better improving mine," sighed Izuku, "She's fast and effective, but blunt. She does get the job done, though."
Katsuki scoffed but chose not to comment. He was getting major training from Endeavor, improving his own move set. While Gran Torino was a harsh taskmaster, he was older despite acting much more energetic than one his age should be. Endeavor, however, was still in his prime, and the way he used his own quirk was similar to his own.
Soon, their little argument was done, letting the two teams split up to continue their patrol.
"So how long are we going to patrol here?" asked Izuku.
"Eh, probably just today, and then maybe a few days later. Just wanted to annoy Endeavor and show off my intern," shrugged Miruko as she leaped away.
Izuku sighed as he jumped to follow. He was getting random pings from Danger Sense that he was trying to organize better. Smokescreen, he was emitting tiny amounts to control just how thick it would be.
Enji Todoroki, aka Endeavor, watched Miruko and Izuku leave before turning to his own interns.
'I suppose it would make sense why the boy wouldn't want to have his work studies at my agency even if I am currently the number one hero,' thought Endeavor morosely, 'I can't blame him though, since I did sabotage his first internships with my words at the interview.'
When Shoto mentioned to his father that he was planning to invite Katsuki and Izuku to his agency for work studies, Endeavor had been all for it. It would be a great way to make up for his remarks. However, only Katsuki had accepted the offer while Izuku had found somebody else. Despite her behavior, Endeavor couldn't deny Miruko was an efficient hero. Despite not having an agency or a set location as well as being brash as hell, she was still the number 5 hero.
Endeavor turned around towards his own interns to return to his patrol. He had already deciphered Hawks message about the League of Villains combining with the Meta Liberation Army. It was now up to him and his fellow heroes to train the next generation to ensure they would be able to handle everything, even if they were gone.
Izuku felt like he was being swung all over the place while interning with Miruko. She never had any sort of organized schedule, and went out at a whim. Izuku ended up always dragging his feet back into class when he wasn't patrolling with Miruko. Even Shota was giving him a few pity looks before resuming back to teaching. Almost half of the class was gone, working at an agency about half the time. It was rare to have a full class for a while. Any free time was spent at a private gym with All Might, working on the new quirks he was getting.
"Where are we going?" asked Izuku as he worked with Miruko, heading towards a location he was unfamiliar with. For some reason, Danger Sense was blaring out loud, though he wasn't sure why. Nothing imminent, but rather a warning about the future.
"You'll see," grinned Miruko, "Got an old friend you might be familiar with."
That sent warning bells in Izuku's head, but having no choice, he followed her. They soon arrived at what seemed to be a gym as Miruko entered inside without a care. Izuku followed in to see Eijiro, Tetsutetsu, and the BMI Hero: Fatgum, all waiting inside.
"Yo, what are you guys doing here too?" asked Eijiro, greeting them as they walked in.
"Not sure. All Miruko said was that she wanted to meet an old friend that I was familiar with," shrugged Izuku.
Their questions were soon answered when a heavily guarded van pulled into the building, with four more policemen coming out. As soon as they were ready, they unlocked the back door, pulling back the door to reveal…
"Hey brats! Didja miss me!? I get to fight you all!" grinned Rappa as he stepped out of the vehicle.
While the other heroes were startled and got into fighting positions, Miruko dashed forward before swinging an arc kick to his face. Rappa responded with a punch, the two attacks crashing against each other. Everyone was frozen for a second before the two separated before….
"Tiger bunny!" grinned Rappa, "I recognize that kick anywhere!"
"Rappa," chuckled Miruko, "Haven't seen you in ages. When I heard you got caught in the Yakuza raid, I thought it was about time you were caught."
"So harsh," said Rappa as he held his hands over his heart, "But please don't tell me that wasn't your strongest kick, otherwise I'd be pretty sad that your 'kicking' power only resulted in this much."
"As if!" snapped Miruko, "That was just a hello kick. You, on the other hand, looked like you were struggling to hold back my little love tap."
Rappa just laughed before turning to Eijiro, Tetsutetsu, and Izuku.
"So you brats are the ones I'll be sparring with today, eh?" grinned Rappa, "Looks like the deal came through after all. I was impressed with you Red Riot before, show me that you haven't decayed! And you, green hair boy, I wanna fight you too! You took down Overhaul, who killed me five times before! I wanna see that power! And the fluffy eyebrow dude looks like he can handle himself too, so him too!"
"Are we sure this is safe?" whispered Fat Gum as he slid right next to Miruko. Despite his size, he didn't actually wobble.
"He's a man of his word," said Miruko, "He won't do anything too stupid."
"Despite his attitude, he's actually a model prisoner," supplied a policeman from the side, "He's loud, but he hasn't done anything beyond that. He's one of the few that's on the possible parole list, though it's a little difficult to choose where."
"Nighteye might appreciate the extra muscle," hummed Fat Gum. He'd offer, but he wasn't sure he could handle such a wild card.
"Chuck him at Nezu then, I'm sure he's got something planned," shrugged Miruko with a malicious grin.
Rappa felt something chilly crawl up his spine, but ignored it as his blood was burning with excitement.
Tetsutetsu would find out later that despite being flesh and bone, Rappa could punch hard enough to dent his steel body. And when he didn't flinch, Rappa's solution to that was to punch harder. Rappa laughed as he fought against Eijiro and Testutetsu in a 2v1 fight.
"Let's see some offense!" shouted Miruko from the sideline.
Eijiro gritted his teeth as he hardened further into his Unbreakable mode before glancing at Tetsutetsu, who immediately nodded. Both of them fired a straight right into Rappa's fist, clashing against each other. There was a pause before all three of them were slightly pushed back. Tetsutetsu immediately jumped as he spun, kicking Eijrio's back to shoot him forward before falling awkwardly onto the floor, having no control of his center of balance from that move.
Eijiro leaped forward, his hands already forming tiger claws as he slashed toward Rappa.
Rappa kept backpedaling, avoiding Eijiro's attack while trying to regain his balance.
"Hoo, you've certainly made your defense into an impressive offense," whistled Rappa, "Those fingers of yours are like daggers, waiting to rip out flesh. But that ain't enough to stop the Rappa!"
Rappa, even when stumbling back, threw out an accurate powerful punch right into Eijiro's face, interrupting his attack. Eijiro took a half-step back, but that was all Rappa needed to regain his balance and momentum back.
Even against two people, Rappa was pushing the two to their limits. Eijiro managed to get his finger claws onto Rappa's shoulder, but before he could slide them down to cut into muscle, Rappa merely spun his arm, allowing the spin to negate Eijiro's attack before it could sink in.
"Alright, that's enough," said Fat Gum after a while.
"Phew, not bad. Got my blood running there," grinned Rappa as he stopped and walked away.
Meanwhile, Eijiro and Tetsutetsu were on the floor, breathing heavily.
"Dam… even prison didn't stop him from slowing down," rasped Eijiro, "Feels like he got faster and stronger."
"Well duh, nothing else to do in prison except work out," grinned Rappa, "While I was with Overjerk, I had to spend half the time doing stuff for him, no real personal time. In prison, I get to do whatever I want as long as I don't bother other people."
"Despite the fact we cuff him with the latest anti-quirk bands, he does pushups and situps and whatever exercise he can think of in his cell. Can't stop him from doing that," admitted another cop.
"Alright time for the main dish! Is it Fat Gum? Or maybe Tiger Bunny there? We haven't had that rematch yet. Or do I get to play with the third brat?" shouted Rappa.
Izuku sighed, knowing why his Danger sense had been blaring now, before stepping forward.
"Alright, let's see how you do!" roared Rappa as he instantly charged forward.
Izuku took a deep breath before deciding now was the perfect time to practice both Danger Sense and Observation Haki.
In an instant, a barrage of punches came flying toward Izuku. Before each punch could be thrown, Danger Sense detected where it was originating. Observation Haki allowed him to predict the pathway.
Izuku began to sway, dodging each punch, parrying the ones he couldn't dodge in time.
"You're actually dodging and parrying all of this!?" gaped Rappa before grinning, "Great! Now I can really cranky it up!"
Izuku witnessed Rappa increasing the speed of his punches, yet barely losing any accuracy. Still, Izuku managed to dodge and parry, though taking a few hits every now and then, but he was getting better. With his rubber body, Rappa couldn't actually damage him with his current method of punching harder.
Soon, Izuku took a step in towards his chest, putting a palm right at Rappa's chest. Then, with a roar, Izuku put all his strength into a palm strike, his body twisting forward to increase the strike. All his weight was distributed right into his right foot, allowing him to push forward.
Rappa was sent skittering back for a bit before smiling.
"Not bad, that actually hurt! But that wasn't the same amount of force that you used against Overjerk!" shouted Rappa.
"If I used that amount, you'd end up being a splat on the wall," muttered Izuku.
"Been there, done that," shrugged Rappa, causing everyone to freeze for a second, "What? I told you I challenged Overjerk five times and got killed."
"Thought he meant it metaphorically, not literally," whispered a police guard.
"Overhaul patched you up right after, didn't he?" asked Izuku.
"Yep," nodded Rappa, "Though I wouldn't have said no to the little lady's treatment. But she was too unstable thanks to Overjerk. One good thing about that is the little lady is at least free to live now."
Izuku couldn't help but smile at that. Rappa was a battle-crazed junkie, but he had some morals. Maybe someday, he could be rehabilitated and become a hero like Gentle Criminal…. or most likely a 'villain' for upcoming hero students to fight against. Nezu would certainly love that, and he was pretty sure Rappa wouldn't mind.
"Now then, let's keep going!" shouted Rappa as he rushed forward once more, "I still needa fight the blonde hero with the cowlick hairstyle, too!"
The fight lasted for several minutes before Miruko decided to call it to an end by surprise kicking both of them in the head. While Izuku managed to sense it and duck, Rappa was sent flying.
Miruko narrowed her eyes, slightly surprised that Izuku was able to dodge a surprise kick despite being hyperfocused on Rappa, but chose not to say anything. Rappa was mad, but took it with good grace as it was time for him to return to his cell. Laughing, Rappa waived them goodbye before threatening Tetsutetsu and Eijiro to get better, otherwise, their next spar would be a plain beatdown.
Several days later
Izuku sighed as he was with Miruko for a late-night patrol. Miruko always varied her patrol times, which was why he was outside at night.
"You're getting faster now," grinned Miruko as she kicked a motorcyclist who had attempted to steal a purse, only to get a kick to the head, knocking him down.
Izuku intercepted the motorcycle, stopping it in its path before shutting the engine down.
"Now then, let's head this way!" grinned Miruko as she deposited the unconscious motorcyclist to a policeman as she jumped away.
Izuku quickly followed after putting the motorcycle to the side.
"Quiet and slow night tonight," said Miruko as she landed.
'We stopped 7 different crimes in one hour, and she says that's slow?' questioned Izuku before noticing something.
Before he could even say anything, he was already shooting toward that area. Miruko noticed his sudden change of direction, but couldn't change directions until she landed.
Izuku landed in time to see Katsuki and Shoto passing Endeavor, who was frozen at the sight of Natsu being held hostage by someone named Ending. Ending began to throw a tantrum at Endeavor freezing up that he grabbed various vehicles with civilians in them, tossing them up into the air.
"If you don't kill me soon, then the death toll will keep rising!" taunted Ending as he held Natsu right in front of a moving vehicle.
Shoto had to divert his path, creating various ice walls to catch the vehicles Ending had tossed into the air. Katsuki blasted past Ending, ripping Natsu away from his grip before using the taxi that had been about to hit Natsu as a footpath to jump over it, his insane reaction speed allowing him to do so.
"No, no no!" shouted Ending in anger, "Kill me Endeavor! Use your brilliant flames to burn my life away! Otherwise, I'll make sure everyone here dies, and it'll be on your head!"
Before Ending could really do anything, he felt someone grabbing his shoulder
"Why?" said the voice.
"What else is there!?" shouted Ending as he turned around, "How we die is the only true freedom that we have!"
"If that was true, then why are you trying to end other people's lives? Why are you treating your own life as something expendable, as well as others!?" said Izuku as he glared at the man, staring right into his eyes.
"All that matters is that I get what I want, a brilliant death! All would be worth it! In this case, I'll make sure you come with me then!" shouted Ending as he manipulated all the white lines, intending to pierce Izuku and turn him into a pin doll.
Before he could do so, he felt something overwhelming all his senses. At first, Ending thought it was Endeavor who had come, before discovering it was coming from Izuku. His presence seemed to grow larger and larger by the second until…
"Enough!" ordered Izuku as he cocked back his fist.
Nobody noticed, but when Izuku had barked that order, Ending had fainted, slightly foaming in the mouth. That wasn't obvious as Izuku had punched Ending in the face, cratering him into the ground. Nor did Izuku know that he had unconsciously tapped into using Conqueror's Haki. He had been rather angry about the lack of respect for life at that moment.
