Marilyn jerked to her feet, and subtly stood in front of the bed, just as Reign stopped before her.

"Move," Reign said, no trace of humor evident in her face.

"You can't be here ma'am." Marilyn stood her ground. Her head shot past Reign, glancing from one part of the room to another, in hopes Ace would walk in and save them all from the cattiness of his ex-girlfriend.

"Who are you to tell me where I can, or can't be, Marilyn? You must have forgotten so soon what I am to your boss." She gave her a disgusted once over, appalled by the audacity of being spoken back to, by someone she considered a lowlife.

'His trashy ex?' Marilyn sneered in her mind, but was too much of a coward to say it out loud.
