Another Dimension

Alpha and Adam finally reached the cave. It would only take them 15 minutes to get there if they flew, but walking would require two whole days. As soon as they arrived, the dragon swiftly entered one of the rooms. Alpha decided to move one of the stalactites in the cave, which revealed a hidden room. Inside, there was a large circle filled with ancient symbols and letters. Without wasting any time, Alpha stepped into the circle and closed his eyes. He began to mumble and recite a spell. After a short while, a circular portal with a diameter of approximately 2 meters materialized on one of the cave walls. Alpha said, "Come in. Remember, you only have one hour. Be careful!"

As Adam walked through the portal, he found himself in a whole new dimension. This dimension took the form of an empty room, pure white in appearance. The room was quite spacious, measuring around 300m x 300m. Standing tall in each corner of the room were black dragon statues. At the center of the room, a dried-up human corpse sat in a cross-legged position, dressed in a yellow robe.

In this room, everything looks bright. There are no shadows. There are lots of ancient letters and strange symbols written on the floor. Adam started walking to get closer to the corpse.

Criiing... Whoooossss...

A sharp, serrated disc suddenly appeared from his right side when Adam stepped on a circular symbol with ancient writing. Adam, who was already on alert, managed to avoid it by retreating back to his original position. He thought that every symbol on the floor would be triggered and activate the trap. Adam tries to step on the same symbol again.

Criiing... Whoooossss...

The same disc appeared and attacked Adam until Adam jumped back to his original position.

"Hmmm, so the traps can still activate again after being activated before. This is quite difficult."

Adam tried to find a foothold where there were no symbols on the floor, but it was quite difficult because almost the entire floor was covered in ancient symbols and letters. He had to stand on tiptoe to step on the area without symbols. After only five steps, Adam lost his balance and fell on several symbols at once.

Criiing, kreeek, swing, whoooossss, screeech...

Adam was bombarded with different weapons like discs, balls, axes, spears, and arrows from all sides. In a flash, he grabbed the seal and shouted out. "Inferno, appear!"

Dang! Bugh! Crash!

"Damn brat! You keep calling me at the wrong time. You really want to kill me, right?" Inferno shouted, with various sharp weapons piercing his body.

"Phew, luckily Uncle Inferno was there. Otherwise, I would have died."

"Hey bastard, what are you doing? Can't you help me take out this weapon? Why did you call me now?"

"Ah, sorry, uncle, isn't it a guardian's job to protect his master? I see you have done it well." Adam said while grinning.

"You're impudent, you damn brat."

"Wait a minute, uncle. Don't move around carelessly. This place is full of traps. All those symbols are connected to traps."

Inferno looked around the room. "Hahaha, I like puzzles. It's just like a game. If you make the wrong move, bang! You'll lose. But you know how smart I am."

"I know that but the problem is I don't know what letters or writing these are."

"Just a moment. Give me some time." Inferno spoke as he removed the weapon lodged in his body. No blood spilled out because he was a genie. He experienced pain, but no blood flowed. He only felt his energy draining. Inferno hurled the weapon at the wall, where it stuck. His gaze was fixed on the letters and symbols on the floor.

"It doesn't seem like ancient letters. It's more like a pattern. He uses the same, repeating patterns in each particular symbol. But the pattern is different for other symbols. Whoever created this puzzle must have been a prankster. I'm thousands of years old and have never seen this type of letter. Just a prankster who created letters for himself. What a smart ass."

"Wow, Uncle Inferno is really smart. It's not wrong for me to call you uncle." Adam said he was praising him so that Inferno wouldn't get angry because he had been used as a shield to protect himself.

"Hehehehe, you already know how great your uncle is," Inferno said proudly. Inferno attempted to push one of the symbols on the ground, but nothing occurred. He felt relieved. Then he decided to press a different symbol.

Ziiiing... Blaar!

A sharp, flat disc was hurled towards Inferno, but he effortlessly swatted it away with a wave of his hand. Regrettably, the disc ended up landing on a symbol, activating yet another trap.

Whoooossss... Jleb! A spear penetrated Inferno's back.

"You're still a careless one, uncle. A disc that falls to the floor and hits the symbol will trigger another trap."

"Damn! I forgot about that. I'm too focused on the pattern." Inferno said as he pulled out the spear and stabbed it on the safe symbol.

"You try looking for a symbol like this with a letter pattern similar to this. I'll try another symbol to test whether it is safe or not."

Adam began to make markings that resembled the symbols shown by Inferno. At the same time, Inferno continued to search for other symbols that could be safe. Inferno was hit by weapons multiple times, but he no longer defended himself carelessly. He did his best to catch them, even though they sometimes caused him injuries. After thirty minutes, they successfully solved the puzzle and identified several symbols that were safe to step on. Inferno then disappeared again after giving Adam the key to the puzzle. Adam jumped a few times and slowly approached the corpse in the center of the room.

Adam was five meters away from the corpse when the four dragon statues in the corner of the room began to come to life. As the stone layer on their skin peeled off, they transformed into real dragons and started walking towards Adam. Due to their random movements, they ended up stepping on multiple symbols simultaneously.
