Atlas told Raymond to land on a nearby mountain ledge before sending him back to the Otherworld as he sat down. He looked out over the quiet landscape, only to see a beautiful purple glow.
''Amethyst,'' he muttered as the phoenix woman crashed down just behind him.
She quickly returned to her humanoid form and rushing to give him a hug as she spoke in a heartbroken voice, ''You have a place, it's with us.''
Atlas smiled when hearing this and tightened his hug on the beautiful young woman he had met years ago. Before he could speak, Amethyst confessed, ''I love you, Atlas, please don't feel bad about your past. You now have a future and people who care about.''
Just then, an icy shiver ran down Atlas's spine, the hairs on his neck bristling with alarm. Without hesitation, he twisted to the side, clutching Amethyst tightly in his arms, narrowly evading a flurry of deadly strikes from the shadowy Night Owls.
