Omniscience in Marvel 66

Title - Show of God's Anger 2

In the heart of a dilapidated building, deep within the arid city of Sodom, a small group of sorcerers convened. The room was dimly lit by flickering candles, casting long, sinister shadows on the stone walls. The air was thick with the scent of burning herbs and the faint sound of distant chanting echoed through the corridors.

At a circular wooden table, three figures shrouded in dark robes sat, their faces obscured by hoods. The leader, a tall, imposing figure with a staff adorned with a serpent's head, began to speak.

"Brothers," intoned the leader, his voice a low, menacing whisper, "our time is nigh. Sodom and Gomorrah are ripe for transformation. We must ensure that these cities become the epicenter of chaos and depravity, as our dark lord commands."

The second sorcerer, shorter but with an air of palpable malice, leaned forward. His eyes gleamed with a sinister light. "Indeed, Brymon. The people of these cities are already teetering on the edge of corruption. With our spells and enchantments, we can push them over, ensuring their descent into utter wickedness."

A thin, wiry sorcerer, the third in the group, nodded in agreement. "I have been working on a potion," he hissed, his voice like the rustling of dead leaves. "A concoction so vile, it will strip away the last vestiges of virtue from anyone who drinks it. We can distribute it in the city's wells and fountains, ensuring that all are tainted."

Brymon raised his staff, the serpent's eyes seeming to glint in the candlelight. "Excellent, Malkor. But we must also corrupt their leaders, the judges and merchants who hold sway over the people. They must be made to embrace our cause, to spread our darkness willingly."

"That has been done already. Bera and Birsh, Kings of Sodom and Gomorrah are already in mt grasp." The second sorcerer said with a sinister smile.

"As for the rest, heh," the second sorcerer, named Azrael, smirked. "The judges are greedy and easily manipulated. Promises of power and wealth have already ensnared many. Soon, they will be ours to command."

Brymon nodded, satisfied. "Good. But we must not be complacent. We must weave our spells into the very fabric of these cities. Enchant the stones and the soil, the water and the air. Let every breath they take bring them closer to damnation."

Malkor produced a small, ancient-looking scroll from within his robes. "I have found a ritual," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "A rite so powerful, it will bind our dark essence to the very foundations of Sodom and Gomorrah. Once performed, these cities will never recover from the darkness we unleash."

Brymon smiled, a cruel, cold expression. "Then let us proceed. We will perform the ritual on the next full moon. Until then, continue your work. Spread depravity, corruption, and ensure that our influence continues to grow."

"By the way, did you get the notice about those two men who came into the city today?" The third sorcerer asked with a perverted smile on his face. "I heard they were quite handsome. "

"Hmm, I felt them enter the city but…" the first sorcerer said hesitantly. "I think they're dangerous."

"Dangerous? Impossible. No matter who it is, as long as they enter the city, they'd be like lambs to the slaughter." the third sorcerer said with a snort.

"That's what you said about that Lot fellow and his family. Guess what? They're still alive and kicking In their disgustingly righteous ways." The second snickers.

As they talked amongst themselves, they were unaware of the Fourth occupants of the room listening in on them with an interested look on his face. 'How interesting. So it was indeed the doings of Sorcerers…And once from the Future organization - Hydra..?'

Leucadius didn't know where they got the Scrolls and knowledge to make the things they made. Even the so-called potion, a potent Aphrodisiac was something that shouldn't have been created….

'Hmm, Indeed, humanity is the best. They never cease to evolve their thoughts when evil is concerned.' With this thought, he canceled his invisibility, suddenly appearing before the three men who immediately went on their guard.

"Gentlemen…I believe this meeting is in order."

A Few Hours Earlier.

"What!?" Both Zephiel and Pnemiel cried at the top of their voices as they looked at Leucadius in astonishment. "This was all orchestrated by other Humans?"

"Hmm. That is my conclusion, and I am never…rarely wrong." Leucadius said. Upon arriving at the periphery of The Twin City of Sodom and Gomorrah, he picked up an invisible magical dome covering the area.

Since it wasn't Divine in nature, he immediately ruled out the possibility of a God being involved. However, for it to be so expertly hidden to the extent that he almost didn't perceive it…

"Those humans are strong. I would even go as far as saying that you two might die if you confront them."

"That's impossible!"

"I know. Physically, you'd win, but Magically…" Leucadius said, leaving the rest up to their imagination. "So while I go look for them, go scout the City. See if you can find anyone worth saving. If you do, send them out."

"In addition to Lot and his Family?"

"Eh..? Yeah, alright. In addition to Lot and his family, if you see someone righteous enough, send them out." Leucadius reluctantly accepted. He did make a promise after all. "Be sure to remind them not to look back. Doing so would incur a prominent curse."

"...As you wish." Despite feeling despondent at the way Leucadius openly looked down on them, they couldn't really retort since he was their God and was supposedly always right.

"Alright then, I'll be on my way." Leucadius said and disappeared in a flash of golden light leaving the two angels to themselves.

With a deep sigh, Zephiel looked at the city gate that suddenly looked haunting and asked. "Shall we?" To which the other angel nodded.

It was evening when they reached the gates of Sodom and a man who they'd identified as Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.

"My lords," he said, "please turn aside to your servant's house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning."

{Is this a trend amongst the humans or what?} Zephiel asked Pnemiel telepathically to which he shrugged. How was he supposed to know? This was his first time on Earth too.

"No," they both answered, "we will spend the night in the square."

Abraham's case was different, it was their God who made the decision for them, however, they were without their God now, and couldn't make decisions of their own freewill.

It was similar to a soldier taking matters into their own hands when they've been assigned a task during a mission.

However, to their dismay, he insisted so strongly that they had to go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate.

And before they knew it, it was already nighttime.

But before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. They banged at his door causing Lot to open up.

"Where are the men who came to you tonight?" They asked. "Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." they demanded with lascivious smiles on their faces.

Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don't do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof."

{Is it just me or is that man also…disgusting?} Zephiel asked his partner.

{What are you talking about? He's trying to keep us safe at the expense of his daughters. Despite being unnecessary, Is that not a noble thing?} Pnemiel asked.

{What are you talking about? If those men had their way with those two lasses, they'd die. No two ways about that. For a father to do such a thing for two strangers he'd only just met…if that's not the height of foolishness, then I don't know what is.}

{While it is foolish, it is in accordance with the Laws and Covenant set up between God and his people.}

{What? That all visitors should be treated as Gods?}

{Exactly.}

{You…} sigh. Zephiel just sighed and decided to keep silent about the matter. Leucadius gave them a task and they were going to complete it perfectly. Lot and his family were to leave the city before the day breaks

"Get out of our way," one of the men in the lead replied. "This fellow came here as a foreigner, and now he wants to play the judge! We'll treat you worse than them if you don't step out of the way."

They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door. But the angels inside finally had enough and reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door.

"Oh? You two surely know how to behave." The men laughed amongst themselves seeing the two men come out by themselves.

"{What do you think we should do to them?}" Zephiel asked his partner.

"Huh? What are you saying?"

"He must be a foreigner."

"That makes sense. I didn't understand a word that came out of his mouth."

While the men talked amongst themselves, Pnemiel replied. "{While I would love to kill them all and be done with them, don't forget that this is The Lord's battle.}"

"{Then…}"

"{A minor Illusion would do.}" Pnemiel said and pointed his right index finger at the group of men. "[False Reality]"

"{Oh? You've blinded them to his house, Eh?}" Zephiel muttered with a nod of appreciation. "{That would do.}"

Then the two said to Lot, "Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it."

"Huh..?!"

"There's no time to be shocked. Make haste now."

So Lot hurriedly went out and spoke to his Sodomite sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said to each of them, "Hurry and get out of this place, because the Lord is about to destroy the city!"

But his sons-in-law thought he was joking and made fun of him.

With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, "Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished."

When he hesitated, they grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, ensuring that no one saw them.

As soon as they had brought them out, Zephiel said, "Flee for your lives! Don't look back, and don't stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!"

But Lot said to them, "That's impossible, my lords, please! Your servant has found favor in your eyes, and you have shown great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can't flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I'll die. Look, here is a town near enough to run to, and it is small. Let me flee to it—it is very small, isn't it? Then my life will be spared."

Zephiel looked at Pnemiel who shrugged and looked away. Clicking his tongue, he said to Lot, "Very well, I will grant this request too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of. But flee there quickly, because I cannot do anything until you reach it."

By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land.

Now curiosity was a very Evil thing. Anyone feeling the searing heat behind them would be forced to turn around to see what was going on, but Lot knew better.

He has been strictly ordered not to turn around. But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

'Women!' Lot screamed internally but didn't turn back. This was one heartless man who could stand his daughters being defiled by tens of men. What more was one woman. Wife or not?
