Chapter 79 : Ahhanita Town!!

Heartfilia Estate.

Jude Heartfilia, the stern head of the Heartfilia family, stood in front of a large floor-to-ceiling window, gazing into the distance with a pensive look. His expression was hard to read, revealing little of his thoughts.

"Sir, the route to Ahhanita Town has been prepared," the butler informed him quietly.

"Good," Jude replied, turning away from the window.

Back at the guild, the atmosphere was quieter without Natsu's usual energy. Mirajane sighed, feeling the difference in the air. She had finished work early and was heading home, lost in thought.

While walking down the street, she spotted two familiar figures ahead of her. "Elfman?" she called out, recognizing the large silhouette of her brother. He was with someone she knew—Evergreen.

Mirajane covered her mouth and smiled, taking a long detour home by a different street.

When she reached her front door, she found a letter in her mailbox.

"Eh? Who would send me a letter? Tiffany?" she wondered.

Usually, when her guildmates had something to discuss, they didn't need to send her a letter—they would just talk to her in person.

As Mirajane thought about who else could send her a letter, only one name came to mind: Tiffany.

She picked up the letter and saw that it was indeed from Tiffany. Curious, she opened it.

A magical projection of a girl appeared above the paper. The girl was stunning, with a tall, curvaceous figure, and her waist-length hair styled into twin ponytails. Her hair had a striking gradient from white to green.

She wore a form-fitting white training outfit with trousers that ended at her knees, exposing her straight calves and white feet. Her pointed ears gave her a slight elven appearance, and her vivid green eyes sparkled like rare emeralds.

Mirajane noticed beads of sweat on the projection's forehead, indicating that Tiffany must have recorded this while training. It was crystal clear, giving an almost tangible sense of the magic and heat from the girl's training.

"Long time no see, Miss Mirajane," Tiffany's projection said. "I recently got two 'all-in-one discount cards' for the Ahhanita Town Mall. Are you free these days? Would you like to join me? I've heard it's a popular tourist spot, and I think we could have a lot of fun together!"

"Huh?" Mirajane exclaimed in surprise, "I think Everit and the others mentioned going there too. It sounds like the place to be."

She couldn't help but laugh. "This might get interesting," she mused.

Meanwhile, Erza and the other girls had already reached Ahhanita Town, mesmerized by the stunning scenery. The town was nestled in a canyon, which gave it a unique charm but also limited its growth and development.

"It's so beautiful," Lucy remarked, her eyes wide with awe.

The dreamlike setting seemed to promise an adventure filled with surprises and perhaps even some unexpected magic.

The turning point for Ahhanita Town came with the arrival of the Ahhanita family, one of the richest families in the region, rivaling even the Heartfilia family.

The town's mayor, John Ahhanita, was a business genius with a knack for creating success wherever he went. In his later years, under his guidance, Ahhanita Town transformed into a place of legend.

The town's original geography—its location in a canyon—was seen as a drawback. But John Ahhanita turned this challenge into an opportunity. He made the bold move of abandoning half of the town to focus resources on the west side. The result was a luxurious commercial street that became renowned throughout the country.

Ahhanita Town had a thoughtful design. The cliffs on either side of the canyon were adorned with intricate artificial crystals. These crystals filtered sunlight during the day, creating a gentle glow, while in the mornings and evenings, they reflected vibrant yet soft colors, bathing the entire West Town in a surreal light.

The houses were built in a whimsical, fairy-tale style with a vibrant palette of colors. The reflected light from the crystals added to the magical atmosphere, making the town feel like a scene straight out of a fantasy story.

As soon as tourists arrived, they felt like they had stepped into a fairy-tale world. The dreamlike scenery was mesmerizing, almost otherworldly.

It wasn't just the girls who were taken by the charm of Ahhanita Town. Even Natsu and Gray, usually more interested in fighting than scenery, couldn't help but nod in approval at the beauty around them.

The town was busier than usual with an influx of tourists.

The reason?

Mayor John's 80th birthday was coming up, along with a decade-long celebration marking the transformation of Ahhanita from a struggling town to a prosperous one.

To honor the occasion, even Alex, a famous national machine builder, was invited to showcase his inventions. The town council also distributed discount cards and shopping coupons, which attracted even more visitors.

As a result, Ahhanita was buzzing with activity and nearing full capacity.

Fortunately, Everit had planned ahead—he'd reserved a hotel room during his last visit, ensuring he and his friends had a place to stay amidst the chaos.

The only catch?

He had originally planned for just himself, Natsu, Gray, and Happy. But now, with the addition of Lucy, Juvia, and Erza, a single room wasn't enough.

When they checked in, the hotel owner informed them there were no additional rooms available. Despite this setback, Lucy and the others took it in stride.

Lucy was used to surprises; she'd often find Natsu, the Fire Dragon Slayer, snuggled up under her quilt as a makeshift bed warmer.

Juvia, on the other hand, was thrilled to be sharing a room with Gray. Erza was the only one slightly disappointed, missing her usual hot spring baths.

After they settled in and took a short break, the sun had set, and it was time to explore the town's festivities.
