Chapter 103.2 : Angel vs Lucy!!

On the other side,

Erza unleashed her full strength right from the start. This time, she was in better shape compared to her last battle with Ikaruga, where she expended a lot of effort, magic power, and sustained injuries.

This time around, she had only dealt with minor adversaries on her way here. While she had fought with Cobra and Racer before, it hadn't been a fight to the death.

But now, at this moment...

Erza clearly viewed this battle as a fight for survival.

Jellal must be defeated!

Even if it means sustaining serious injuries!

Simon was right; they couldn't afford to let this guy make mistakes again!

This time, they were armed with ample information. Jellal's magic and strength had been fully displayed during their last encounter in the Tower of Heaven.

Moreover, Jellal had recently suffered severe injuries from Everit, and now he wore heavy armor to conceal the wounds covering his body.

Thus, for the moment, the battle between them was evenly matched.

*Buzz*

Amidst the mountains and forests,

Gray and Racer were engaged in a motorcycle chase.

Racer directed the other motorcycles to collide with Gray. At this speed, a collision could injure even Gray.

However, Gray's skill was superb. He dodged whatever he could by maneuvering in various ways, even taking flight. When he couldn't evade, he used magic to shield himself.

Gray didn't just take hits passively; he also retaliated with magic attacks. Racer, being a skilled motorcyclist, easily dodged his counterattacks.

The two continued their race.

Soon, they crossed the city's outskirts.

*Shua*

They passed through Jura and Hoteye's battlefields, venturing through the Midnight and Ichiya.

They even passed by Natsu, Erza, and the others.

Circling around the city, they descended back into the forest, continuing their race.

On Lucy's battlefield,

Seeing Angel's defenses breached,

Lucy exclaimed, "It couldn't have been Everit who attacked!"

"It must've been," Happy affirmed. "If they're enemies, Everit won't spare anyone."

"Damn it! That guy actually blew me up with a bomb!" Angel shouted. "Since I can't take him down, I'll go after his teammates!"

Lucy was suddenly filled with apprehension.

Their opponent's grudge ran deep!

Yet, the most pressing matter now was gathering intelligence on Everit.

"What did Everit do to you?" Lucy inquired.

They began analyzing...

Everit was incredibly powerful, and despite a significant change in personality after being attacked by Nirvana, his strength remained undiminished.

Everyone knew Everit's capabilities well—if he chose to flee, not even the Oración Seis and Jellal together could stop him. In combat, he could at least hold off two of them.

Given Everit's mindset at the time, he was unlikely to opt for escape.

Miss Tiffany claimed her magic could locate Everit and determine if he was in danger.

Soon after, she reported that the battle had ended and Everit, though not in mortal danger, was now with the Oración Seis.

This meant Everit had been captured for certain.

The Oración Seis and Jellal remained formidable. Lucy couldn't figure out how to use her magic to locate Everit, yet they still managed to capture him!

Now, Lucy fretted over Everit potentially enduring torture and abuse after capture.

Dealing with dark wizards like them was no simple matter. They certainly wouldn't treat prisoners to good food and drink.

Just mentioning the name enraged Angel.

She remembered the man, smiling and speaking to her like a devil: "Behave yourself, Miss Angel, or come sunrise, downstream fishermen will find a beautiful female corpse floating in the water. What a waste."

Recalling those words made Angel shudder involuntarily.

"Ah, that guy." Angel's expression turned proud. "We caught him, along with the little girl. Our leader's giving them a lesson."

"Damn it!" Lucy suddenly grew anxious and produced a golden key.

Her celestial spirit was Gemini. From recent events, Lucy knew Gemini could mimic others' magic abilities.

Naturally, even her Celestial Spirits could be controlled, just like how Sagittarius had attacked her.

That left only one celestial spirit—the hot-tempered Aquarius. No matter who controlled her, she would fight to the death with anyone present.

"Open, Gate of Aquarius, The Water Bearer!"

Aquarius, a beautiful mermaid spirit, appeared. She resembled a goddess but showed hostility towards Lucy.

Facing her fearlessly, Lucy declared, "Aquarius, take down that guy, even if it means taking me down with him!"

"That was the plan from the start," Aquarius replied, casting her magic.

Lucy looked distressed. Though mentally prepared, hearing this still shocked her.

Aquarius transformed into an elderly woman, grumpy and holding a bottle, poised to cause a global flood.

"Is such aggression really necessary, Aquarius?" Angel summoned a key.

"Summon, Gate of Scorpio- Scorpion!"

"What?! Another Zodiac!" Lucy exclaimed. Dealing with Gemini was tough enough!

"Yeah!" A stylishly dressed, cool guy appeared, striking a handsome pose.

"Scorpion!" Aquarius dropped the bottle immediately. Her demeanor shifted from angry older sister to love-struck fangirl.

"Eh? Aquarius!" Scorpion opened his arms, and Aquarius rushed into them, hopelessly in love, murmuring sweetly, "Scorpion, it's been so long, I've missed you~"

"What?!" Lucy was bewildered.

Seeing Aquarius like this, she couldn't believe it. "Could it be that Scorpion is Aquarius's boyfriend?!"

Lucy had summoned Aquarius many times, finding her impatient and annoyed at disrupting her happy moments with her boyfriend.

Little did she expect that her celestial spirit was romantically involved with the enemy's spirit! And it seemed Aquarius had no fighting capability at all!

"That's right," Aquarius admitted shyly.

"Hmm?" Scorpion looked at Lucy politely. "Nice to meet you, Aquarius's owner. Yay~"

"Speaking of Aquarius's personality," Lucy began to complain. It was like a sudden awakening from a dream, as if they were completely different people!

Aquarius grabbed Lucy by the collar, her tone vicious. "If you dare to speak out in front of Scorpion, you'll see the sun tomorrow, got it?!"

"Yes!" Lucy replied hastily.

"Honey, I know a great restaurant. Would you like to go there for dinner?"

"Of course."

Scorpion carried Aquarius away in his arms.

"Hahaha," Angel laughed. "You don't even grasp the bond between the Celestial Spirits. You're such a naive girl."

As she spoke, she approached Lucy.

"Leo, I'm counting on you now. Don't let me down!"

Lucy could only hope that Leo, the strongest among the Zodiacs and their leader, wouldn't be manipulated by the enemy.

*Shua*

"Don't worry, lovely princess. The prince has arrived." Leo appeared confidently. He knew Gemini was in enemy hands, but he remained sure he couldn't be controlled.

"Leo, then," Angel held up a key.

"Come forth, Aries."

At the mention of the name, Leo's confidence waned. He stared at Angel in disbelief.

*Boom*

The gentle Aries emerged. Clad in a snug white cotton dress, Aries appeared timid and non-aggressive.

Yet Leo stepped back.

"Why can you summon Aries?!" Lucy gasped, considering a possibility.

Aries was Leo's previous master's Celestial Spirit.

"Of course I acquired the key by defeating a foolish wizard," Angel bragged, patting Aries' head proudly. "That woman, despite her lack of talent and weak magic, managed to force open two Celestial Spirit gates. In the end, she self-destructed. What a fool she was."
