Taking advantage of this, Emily turned around and continued searching for an exit.

"Sob sob..."

The crying of a child intermittently echoed. Emily listened carefully for a while but couldn't pinpoint its exact location.

However, Nathan didn't make any inappropriate moves. He stood alone with his arms crossed in the shadows, lost in thought.

Emily couldn't be bothered with him. She could hear the child crying, indicating that Herry shouldn't be far away. If she spoke, Herry should be able to hear her.

"Herry! Can you hear me?"

The crying abruptly stopped.

Emily pondered for a moment, unsure if Herry stopped crying upon hearing her voice.

"Herry? If you hear me, please respond!"

Still, there was no reply.

Emily felt a bit discouraged.
