Jackson quickly relaxed. “But if we’re going to spend the rest of our lives in the UK, we need to adapt to the local customs,” he said. “And boots are definitely a must! My grandmother always said, ‘Girls shouldn’t let their feet get cold; it’ll cause problems later on.’”
Emily raised an eyebrow. “Your grandmother actually told you that?”
“Yeah, she’s been worrying about her two grandsons, both single and in their thirties. Now that I’m in the UK, she’s focused on my brother instead. I just hope he gets things sorted with Olivia soon; if he puts his mind to it, it should be a piece of cake.”
