JAYDEN, THE ABANDONED BRIDE

' Jade isn't that your b*tchy sister?' Jade asked.

' It's her.' System Jade replies solemnly.

Jade could feel disappointment creeping into her heart, she knew this was System Jade's feelings.

' I was wondering how she could afford to higher thugs to look for trouble. I thought she used up savings or sold something's, I didn't expect that she would stoop to such a level.' Jade says. She couldn't help but feel disappointed as well, was this the pure and innocent female lead?

Jade put away her thoughts as the game started.

She discovered something amazing!!! Each time she wanted to play, a card would glow. Just like how it would when a mobile game was giving hints. And just like that she won three rounds.

The men had looks of despair on their faces. It wasn't about losing money, it was a matter of face. They were part of the five best players in Golden Valley and now they were about to lose to a lady? No way!

The tried to cheat but despite their foul play she managed to turn the game around everytime leaving them frustrated. They even specifically requested a female waitress to search her incase she was carrying extra cards.

At the end they had to admit their defeat. If it was in some other place, they would have made trouble and snatched her wins. But the security was topnotch and they could get blacklisted for using force within Golden Valley but this lass wouldn't be protected outside.

Jade happily "harvested" her gains. She turned to look at Ruby for the last time and saw her handing over a pendant to one of the "entertainers" and collecting a bundle of cash in return.

Jade felt immense anger on seeing this.

' Jade what's wrong? Jade asked.

' That's my mother's necklace. She had three of them and gave one to me, Ruby and then Jayden. She had told us that the necklace meant she was with us always.' System Jade replies.

' How come you never told me?' Jade asks touching the pendant through her clothes.

' You didn't ask and I didn't need to because you never took it off.' System Jade replies.

' This white Lotus female lead keeps stooping lower and lower everytime.' Jade says. She walked over to the lady who had just bought the pendant and asked.

' How much would you sell this pendant for?' Jade says.

' I need to make a profit so I will sell it to you for 70000.' The lady replies.

Jade clenched her fists. If 70000 was sold as a profit, then just how much did that White Lotus female lead sell this pendant? 50000?

Jade paid her the money and picked up three briefcases field with money.

As she stood up, she saw the other four men stand up as well. She secretly drew out the smoke bombs and there it in different directions. She then activated her invisibility skill and went through the from door where about 15 bodyguards were waiting. She then crossed the street to a deserted alley were she took of the jacket and disconnected the call.

She then walked to the cafe where the three guys were waiting.

' Jade you were awesome!!' Justin says

' You play even better than Matt.' Tyler adds while Matt simply nodded which in no way extinguish the enthusiasm in his eyes.

' Let's take a taxi back to Bluesky.' Jade says and the Moonlight Demons exited.

Bluesky Pavillion,

As the group of four walked and talked excitedly, the came across a figure crouched at the entrance holding a box of chocolates.

' Jayden? What are you doing here?' Jade asked.

' You said to propose to you by tonight but you forgot all about it.' Jayden says looking aggrieved.

He originally had pale skin and a sickly appearance, his aggrieved expression made him look fragile and wronged.

Earlier,

Jayden along with some JKL Industry's staff arrived at Bluesky Pavillion so they could take Jade to a special place for the proposal.

Who would have thought that none would be around? Old man King told them that they had just left and by the time Jayden came out to see, there was no sign of them.

Old man King offered him words of comfort and praise when he saw the face behind the mask.

That was how the almighty Jayden Lincoln waited at the entrance like an abandoned bride.

Back to the present,

' I am so sorry. I completely forgot.' Jade says apologetically. No wonder she felt like she forgot something important.

' It's our fault. We kept her busy playing all day and forgot to remind her.' Justin says. He was suppose to help Jayden and Jade develop romance but he forgot to remember such an important thing.

Jayden was speechless. Were they trying to comfort him? This was how it sounded in his ears:

Jade: I'm sorry. I completely forgot.

Interpretation: You are not that memorable.

Justin: It's our fault. We kept her busy playing all day and forgot to remind her.

Interpretation: Our games and playing are more important than your proposal.

To make matters worse, Jade was wearing Matt's clothes and he was holding the Jacket that was obviously a pair with the pair of jeans. They were standing next to each other like a couple who just returned from a date. Now that he looked at it, Matt's clothes seems way to similar what Jade was wearing. He felt wronged in so many ways. He had prepared so hard.

' I'll make it up to you. Let's try this again tomorrow evening.' Jade says in a coaxing tone.

Jayden nodded obediently.

' I noticed your box of chocolates is running out, so I bought you these. I'll see you tomorrow.' Jayden says softly.

Jade was silent for a second. She probably shouldn't mention that Tyler bought her 5 boxes, right? Just as she decided to silently receive the box of chocolates.

' Wow Jade, you received 6 boxes of chocolates in one evening. Then there really was no need for Tyler to have bought you 5 boxes.' Justin says in awe.

Jade: This is the downside of innocence.

Matt: I think this guy needs a lesson or two on dishonesty.

Tyler: *facepalm* Please don't make me the target of gunpowder.

In Jayden's mind,

Justin: Wow Jade, you received 6 boxes of chocolates in one evening. Then there really was no need for Tyler to have bought you 5 boxes.

Interpretation: Tyler bought her 5, you only bought one.

Jade raises up her hand to slap Justin's mouth shut but ended up pinching his nose and patting his cheek.

Jayden glared at the three guys in an angle away from Jade's sight.

His assistant had told him that a loving couple should wear matching clothes. He turned to look at Matt standing next to Jade holding her jacket.

His assistant also told him that giving chocolates or flowers to a girl was an expression of love. He turned to look at Tyler.

He was also told that loving couples would occasionally pinch each others nose or cheeks, or ruffle each other's as an act of mischievousness and punishment. He turned to look at Justin.

Very well. These three were teaming up to steal his wife right from under his nose. He would teach them a lesson.
