"Father," Aryan ran after the emperor into the inner court room of the palace. The emperor had been so angry he didn't ride in the carriage; instead, he used a handler's horse. That was the greatest disrespect to the kingdom and the sun god's name. Not once in three centuries had this happened.

"You can't just cancel out my marriage to the princess of Elderslot," he said breathlessly as he reached his father's side.

"I can, and I just did," he snapped. Aryan frowned slightly.

"But our wedding is only two weeks away," he argued.

"So, you are telling me you're willing to overlook the disrespect?" The emperor was flabbergasted by his son, but it wasn't very surprising. Aryan had been like this since he was a child. "How desperate are you? That girl has just insulted you and the golden blood that runs through your veins."
