A low hum filled the grand council chamber as King Aaron addressed his ministers. Sunlight lanced through stained glass windows, casting a kaleidoscope of colors across the polished mahogany table.

"The royal farm has flourished," the king declared, his voice booming. "A true boon to the palace."

John, Minister of Resources, leaned forward, stroking his goatee. "Indeed, Your Majesty. Lady Annie has proven a remarkable asset to the wolf population."

A murmur rippled through the assemblage. A minister, his face flushed with sudden indignation, slammed his fist on the table. "Asset? But sire, rumors abound! Whispers of her... human origins!"

"Human?" a chorus of startled gasps echoed in the room.

The king, however, remained unfazed. "Annie is a wolf," he asserted firmly. "Her lupine scent was unmistakable when I first sanctioned her adoption to Alpha Roland."
