Chapter 30- the truth

Mechelle POV

I casually glanced around at the scenery, which was beautiful. Outside there was a balcony overlooking the vast sea, and I could even hear the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. The room was spacious, with a large round bed in the center surrounded by light blue silk curtains. Two rocking chairs were placed nearby. Wait... just one bed? "We're not going back tonight," Alexander Duncan suddenly said.

Even though I already knew this would be the outcome, I couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed. "I have to go to the bar to sing," I said.

Alexander Duncan glanced at me. "Is it just for the money? Behave and accompany me for one night, and I'll grant you a wish. How about that?"

"What if I refuse?" I'm not a prostitute. I have hands to feed myself.
