Ch 11: Act of Sins

Romeo flinched when he heard an annoyed answer from Karenina, he quietly watched her leaving his office and just when she was out. She looked at him with those teary eyes as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.

"Was I too harsh on her?" Thinking to himself, he murmured as he closed his office's door and returned to his chair. Relaxing his back on the cosy chair, he closed his eyelids.

Something was definitely wrong with him. His orbs never turned red but today it did when he lost his temper on Karenina, not only today but a few days ago it did turn red when he got angry on Warden Madonna. Unknowingly he was making connections with his wolf side, if this continues the day when he would himself unseal his wolf would not be far.

"Holy Moon Maiden," he prayed. "Give me strength to overcome these crises without having to make connections with my wolf."

His prayer ended and he got up to take other classes, and thankfully he received no complaints about Karenina from other professors.

But now something else was bothering him. His stepbrother Osburn was quiet these days which is not a good sign. Something big will happen and it might be directed to Romeo for sure.

"Father, could you please give back my book. The class has ended," a student's voice dragged him out of his thoughts and realised he was distracted by Osburn.

He apologised and returned the book to the student before leaving the class. Walking through the corridors of the priest's quarters, he heard strange voices coming from the reflection room. Feeling strange, and as the High Priest, he stepped towards the reflection room. With every step towards the room, the strange voices became audible and clear…

"Ah, Father please be gentle…"

Romeo's steps came to halt, what he heard wasn't voices but intimate moaning of the woman feeling pleasure of physical love. His hands clenched on the holy book he was holding and his brows furrowed in rage. How could the priest of Selene Grandeur Temple indulge themselves into an act of intimacy when they are supposed to practise celibacy?

Taking long strides, he tried to knock on the reflection room's door but it was not locked from inside. Such audacity!

He walked inside the room and was surprised to see Warden Madonna and His stepbrother Osburn…

Madonna was lying on the floor with her legs open while Osburn was shamelessly committing the sin. Romeo glanced over Madonna and she abruptly pushed Osburn from her and hiding her exposed body she tried to run but Osburn pulled her back.

Caressing her soft cheek he chuckled,"Where are you running, sister? Just now you were moaning like a whore in heat!"

"Father Osburn, what the hell are you doing? Don't you fear Goddess?" Romeo growled, losing his temper.

Osburn turned his face to him and then pointed at the statue of the Moon goddess in the room, he commented," She's already watching us and we are completely fine. Do you have any problem, Father Romeo?"

Wry smile crawled on Romeo's lips, he was holding back himself from losing his mind and with a calm voice he said," Madonna, you must return to your room and wait for your hearing in the confession court tomorrow."

"F-Father…please forgive me," Madonna fell on her knees and begged in front of Romeo, angering him further.

"Get out of my sight before I order the paladins to burn you alive."

Madonna flinched, not crawling backwards from Romeo, truly he was merciless towards the sinners. She wrapped her clothes around her naked body and walked out with tears in eyes. While Osburn stood there, and crossing his arms across his half naked body he asked, "C'mon, don't you feel the urge to fuck any–"

"Stop right there," Romeo frowned at him. "You must think I'll let it slide just because you have known about my past. Let me tell you something," Romeo leaned close to Osburn's ears and whispered indifferently, "don't test my patience because I'm the same Alpha who killed your mother and former Alpha Robert Salvatore."

"Oh my, you call your dead father by his name?"

Romeo laughed,"my father was dead on the day he decided to cheat on my mother. I have always considered him as a man who hurts my mother and despises me."

"Because he was my mother's fated mate but your mother decided to forcefully marry him with her family's power and influence," Osburn roared at him.

Osburn allegations against Romeo's mother made Romeo laugh even more. He just thought how naive Osburn was to believe in his cunning mother. She wasn't a fateful mate of former Alpha Robert but an omega slut who wrecks a happy family. However Romeo didn't find it necessary to explain everything to Osburn.

Putting his hand on Osburn's right shoulder, Romeo said,"I know you have not gone through ordination. You just used dirty tricks to get in here but I'll warn you for the last time."

Tightening his grip on Osburn's shoulder , he coldly thundered,"Don't test my patience by committing blasphemous acts otherwise you'll meet the same end your mother did."

Saying that Romeo leaves the reflection room and goes straight to the temple. He needs to collect his thoughts after what he witnessed today.

Staying two hours kneeled down and praying in front of the Moon goddess's porcelain statue, Romeo atoned for purification of his soul and mind. He then gets up and walks inside the confessional cabinet for hearing confessions of penitents.

Today was his day to hear the confessions so he waited quietly and soon he heard footsteps approaching.

"Father, today I want to confess about my sins," a familiar voice said from outside the window, he recognised Karenina was sitting in front of him for her confession.

"What have you done? You can share with me,"Romeo asked, being very polite so as to not create awkwardness between them.

"Father Romeo?" Karenina recognised his voice and said in a mockery tone,"I have fallen in love with someone who's not supposed to love any women."
