marry him

Catherine Luz drives making her way to the Brooks Empire. She had gotten a call from her secretary whiles in Dr. Martin's office. Alexander Brooks has wanted to meet her. He termed it urgent and couldn't be delayed. As she drove slowly on the road making her way there she was in deep thoughts as to why he wanted to meet her. A few minutes later she arrives at the Brooks Empire, a towering skyscraper that symbolizes the pinnacle of success in Country Z. The Brooks Empire is renowned for being the number one conglomerate in the country, with its diverse portfolio spanning multiple industries. The company owns and operates high-end malls, a chain of supermarkets, luxury hotels, a major airport, and has recently acquired All Materials, a prominent supplier of dressmaking materials. She goes up to the receptionist who tells her to have a sit that she would be shortly attended to. A few minutes later a lady comes to her. Catherine is directed to Alexander Brooks' office.Catherine enters the luxurious office, where Alexander Brooks stands to greet her.

"Good afternoon Mrs. Luz. Please have your seat." Alexander Brooks smiles warmly as he offers her a seat.

Catherine Luz simply responds to his greetings. She had heard a lot about him, seen many photos and documentaries about his success throughout the years. Alexander Brooks, at 50 years old, the chairman and overall overseer of the Brooks Empire. He took over the reins from his father, who retired when Alexander was just twenty. With three decades of leadership under his belt, he is known for his sharp intellect, commanding presence, and a keen eye for detail. His strategic vision and decisiveness have been pivotal in driving the company's growth and success. They had only once exchanged greetings during an auction and that was about three years ago...

"Let's get straight to the point. Brooks Empire is at the top of its game, but we're always looking to strengthen our position. Recently, we acquired All Materials, which expands our reach in the dressmaking industry." Alexander Brooks said, almost bragging

" Yes, I heard about that. Congratulations on the acquisition." Catherine replied a little annoyed. Surely he didn't call her just to brag about his recent acquisition. Her company was about to suffer a lose because of that.

"Thank you. We believe a strategic alliance could be beneficial for both of us. To be specific, I'm proposing business alliance between our families." Alexander Brooks said immediately shocking Catherine.

"Whatt!!". Catherine yelled instantly shocked

A Few Hours Ago

Alexander Brooks walked straight into the conference where the companies top leadership team were assembled alongside key decision makers.

The conference room was compact yet luxurious, with a round marble table in the center. The walls were painted a calming shade of blue, adorned with framed, high-end modern art. Plush, ergonomic leather chairs surrounded the table. A state-of-the-art projector and a motorized screen were ready for presentations. The ambiance was intimate and refined, promoting a sense of exclusivity and creativity. A serious issue had occurred. The acquisition of All Materials turned to be their greatest downfall. Many factors were neglected. The acquisition of All Materials by The Brooks Empire was a susceptible to additional pitfalls, including overlooking client dependency, underestimating integration costs, lacking market analysis, poor communication, and strategic oversight. The conglomerate risked underestimating the reliance of Luz Fashion Industry on All Materials for fabric supply, misjudging the costs of integration, and failing to assess market implications. Inadequate communication with clients also lead to confusion and mistrust, while a narrow focus on production capabilities neglect the broader impact on existing relationships. These oversights lead to unexpected expenses, logistical challenges, and potentially even losses, threatening the success of the acquisition. They are only choice now was to have a business alliance with Luz Fashion Industry.

Catherine sat quietly trying to digest what she had just heard. LFI and BE having been the leading and most competitive businesses in country z. Through their many successes they have never once thought of being business partners. She was still surprised by his sudden proposal.

In Dr. Martin's Office

"I think you found your warmth," Dr. Martin said.

Amaya looked puzzled. "What do you mean by that?" she asked.

"Remember three years ago when this same incident happened? A guy brought you in here. A week ago, you were also brought in by a guy. And today, the same thing. It turns out it was the same guy who brought you in all three times," he revealed.

"What?" Amaya said, still confused. Three years ago, she had gone out to check their new store in Latota, the capital of country Z, a little past eight pm. The lights in the store malfunctioned and went off, causing her to faint when her symptoms relapsed. She was with a few staff members from the office, so she never bothered to ask how she had gotten to the hospital. Now, she realized she hadn't actually asked how she had gotten to the hospital the previous week either.

"So what does this have to do with finding my warmth, and what exactly does that mean?" she asked, still confused and a little curious.

"Your psychiatrist and I have been doing some research ever since the incident three years ago. Your mother's brutality caused you what we term as 'coldness.' You were completely cut off from the world, finding it hard to trust anyone," Dr. Martin said sympathetically. He knew how uncomfortable conversations like this made her feel, but they had to discuss it if she truly wanted to be cured.

"The intentions behind your condition are still unclear. We have a few suspicions but can't be certain. Our final conclusion is that you've been affected in both a mental and emotional way. Thanks to therapy, you've been able to socialize more, which has stabilized your mental health for now. As for your emotions, one person's actions made it worse, so we concluded that you needed someone to counteract that. Your three consecutive interactions with the guy who brought you to the hospital suggest he might be your possible 'warmth'." Dr. Martin said. Outlaying the result of his little research.

"So you're saying I need to be around this guy more. Have some kind of interactions or whatever, anything that keep me at peace." Amaya said. A little glamour of hope sparkled in her eyes. After fifteen years... could she have finally found the solution to her problem??

"You can say it like that. We suggest a three to six months interactions with him. It may be possible that we are completely wrong. But it's better we give this a try."

"I see. I think I need to marry him." Amaya said, desperation certain in her eyes.
