CHAPTER 1:"The Origin"

The night hung heavy over Crimson Valley, casting a long shadows across the deserted streets. Jaxon Steele stood atop a crumbling building, his gaze fixed on the horizon where the silhouette of The Ruby Comet still glimmered faintly. He clenced his fists, the metal plates on his Iron Vanguard suit glinting in the dim moonlight.

"Looks like we've got company, Iron." a voie crackled through Jaxon's earpiece.

"Who is it, Cole?" Jaxon's voice was calm, a stark contrast to the tension in the air.

"The Crimson Reapers. They're making a move on the old steel mill down by the river," Cole reported, his tone tinged with urgency.s

Jaxon's jaw tightened. The Crimson Reapers, led by Donnie "Viper" Martinelli, were a thorn in Crimson Valley's side. They were ruthless, cunning, and had a bone to pick with Jaxon ever since he took up the mantle of Iron Vanguard.

"Patch me thorugh the precinct. I need eyees on the ground," Jaxon ordered as he leaped off the building, landing with a resounding thud on the pavement below.

In the moments after, the familiar voice of Captain Reynolds crackled through Jaxon's earpiece."Iron Vanguard, what;s your status?"

"I've got a visual on the Reapers. Looks like they're gearing up for something big." Jaxon replied, his eyes scanning the darkened alleyways for any sign of movement.

"Stay sharp. Backup is on the way," Captain Reynolds assured him before the line went silent.

Jaxon moved swiftly through the shadows, his senses heightened by years of training and experience. As he approached the old steel mill, he could hear the low murmur of voices and the clinking of weapons.

"Boss, I've got movement at your six," Cole's voice broke through the silence.

Jaxon turned, his gaze locking onto a figure emerging from the darkness. It was Austin, his long-lost twin brother, clad in a suit of dark armor with a swirling vortex emblem emblazoned across the chest.

"Void Knight," Jaxon breathed, his mind reeling with disbelief.

Austin raised an eyebrow, his voice cool and composed. "Looks like we've got a family reunion, Jax."

Jaxon's fists clenched involuntarily. "What are you doing here, Austin? You should be dead."

Austin smirked, a hint of bitterness in his eyes. "Funny how things turn out, isn't it? But that's a story for another time. Right now, we've got company."

As if on cue, the Crimson Reapers burst into view, led by Viper himself. The air crackled with tension as the two brothers stood side by side, facing down their enemies.

Viper's voice cut through the night like a blade. "Iron Vanguard, we meet at last. You took something from me, and tonight, I'm going to take everything from you.

Jaxon's jaw clenched as he braced himself for the inevitable clash. The legacy of steel was about to be tested in the crucible of Crimson Valley's darkest hour.

Jaxon's gaze hardened as he stared down Viper and the Crimson Reapers. Memories of past encounters and the weight of his responsibilities as Iron Vanguard surged through him. He had sworn to protect Crimson Valley, but now, facing both old enemies and the unexpected appearance of his long-lost brother, the stakes were higher than ever.

"Viper, your vendetta ends tonight," Jaxon declared, his voice ringing with determination.

Viper laughed, a cold, mocking sound that echoed through the abandoned mill. "Bold words from a man who hides behind a metal suit. Let's see if you're as tough as they say."

With a signal to his men, Viper charged forward, his gang following suit with weapons drawn. Jaxon braced himself, activating the defensive systems of his Iron Vanguard suit. The armor hummed to life, shielding him from the onslaught of bullets and blades.

Meanwhile, Austin moved with a grace and agility that belied his heavy armor. He wove through the chaos, his movements calculated and precise. His powers, imbued by the same asteroid that had granted Jaxon his abilities, manifested in the form of gravitational manipulation and energy blasts.

As the battle raged on, Jaxon and Austin fought side by side, a seamless synergy born from their shared bloodline. Their powers complemented each other, creating a whirlwind of destruction that pushed back the Crimson Reapers.

"Nice moves, Void Knight," Jaxon quipped between punches, a flicker of camaraderie breaking through the tension.

Austin smirked, deflecting a blast with a gravitational shield. "You're not so bad yourself, Iron Vanguard. Maybe we can make this sibling rivalry work for us."

Their banter was interrupted by Viper's enraged shout as he launched himself at Jaxon, his fury fueling every strike. Jaxon met him head-on, their clash sending shockwaves through the air.

"You think you're a hero, Jaxon? You're just a pawn in a much bigger game," Viper spat, his eyes gleaming with malice.

Jaxon gritted his teeth, pushing back against Viper's relentless assault. "I may not have asked for this power, but I'll be damned if I let you destroy everything I've sworn to protect."

With a burst of strength, Jaxon broke free from Viper's grasp, delivering a powerful blow that sent the criminal leader reeling. The tide of the battle turned as the remaining Crimson Reapers faltered in the face of Iron Vanguard and Void Knight's combined might.

"Time to end this," Jaxon said, his voice firm as he prepared to deliver the final blow.

But before he could strike, a blinding light engulfed the area, emanating from the Ruby Comet that still hovered in the sky. The ground trembled, and a shockwave rippled through Crimson Valley, knocking everyone off balance.

As the dust settled, Jaxon and Austin exchanged a knowing look. Whatever had just happened, it was far from over.

"We'll finish this another time, Viper," Jaxon called out, his gaze locked on the distant horizon where the comet's glow began to fade.

Viper spat at the ground, his defiance undiminished. "This isn't over, Iron Vanguard. You can't protect this city forever."

With that, the Crimson Reapers retreated into the night, leaving Crimson Valley in a state of uneasy calm. Jaxon turned to Austin, his expression a mixture of curiosity and concern.

"You've got a lot of explaining to do, brother," Jaxon said, his voice tinged with anticipation for the revelations that awaited.

Austin nodded, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "And I've got a feeling this is just the beginning."

The origin of Iron Vanguard and Void Knight was shrouded in mystery and conflict, but one thing was certain — Crimson Valley would never be the same again.
