Soul Displacement (3)

I was confused; what would she do to me?

Bertha laughed and said, "Did you know Liselotte before coming into this body?"

"Yes, I mean Liselotte was popular where I lived. Everyone thought she was just a legend. But they found her body parts in some chest."

Bertha looked at me in understanding. "So, you're saying our worlds are the same? And in the next couple of centuries, your original body will be born? What does that mean for you? For us? Is that what you're telling me?"

I was utterly lost, unable to comprehend the implications of what Bertha was saying.

Bertha laughed after seeing my confused expression. "If you didn't see the actual body of Liselotte, then it's not soul conjuring. Soul conjuring is a process that forces you to go around the time where the original soul is near their death. It's a way to bring back the dead only in another body. It's actually quite sad, because you could end up alive in a dead's person body. That body will decompose as you live inside of it, while the dead soul will be in your body with functioning organs. With soul displacement, it's quite similar to soul conjuring, but not the same thing. Soul displacement is where two souls switch places, like what happened to you and Liselotte."

"Hold on, hold on, so what you're telling me is that you know Liselotte is in my body?"

"Yep. Our Liselotte is in your body, So-Jin."
