Kaiserin, The Boy With A Girl Name

"Liselotte! I knew you were suicidal, but after the gifts, I thought you would have some will to live!" Kaiserin yelled at me as he was holding my hand tightly while I was dangling off a cliff.

He pulled me up a second later, and his warm embrace greeted me, as we fell down to the ground. He had a genuine shocked expression, but he got his composure as quickly as he saved me. He then began to speak again with his usual tone but was more tired and weary. You could tell he ran here.

"Liselotte, you scared me."

"I'm sorry, I thought I saw someone-"

"Over a cliff? Does being suicidal also come with excuses?"

He had a point, but how could I explain to him I did someone standing off a cliff? I wasn't thinking too, I should've been more careful. I almost died to a damned hallucination!

Now that I have a good look at Kaiserin and his name, I wonder why he was named that despite being a boy. In Korea, in a podcast I saw, his name directly translates to "female ruler." It is a bold name for a girl but not for a boy. You could tell Empress Theresa loved herself a lot.

Kaiser would've been a suitable boy's name, but Kaiserin would only suit him sometimes. But I've gotten so used to it that it's part of his identity. How could I just notice this now? He's so similar to someone else I know.
