Dimitri and Athena’s Room

The evening sun cast a warm glow through the windows of their bedroom, highlighting the vibrant hues Athena had carefully chosen. Every corner of the room bore her colorful touch—lavender curtains, yellow cushions, and a teal rug that Dimitri thought clashed with everything else. Yet, for her sake, he endured it all.

Athena sat on the pink-and-yellow couch, bouncing slightly as she hugged a pillow to her chest. Her shopping bags lay abandoned on the floor, forgotten in the wave of joy that had overtaken her.

"Dimi!" she called out, her voice high-pitched with excitement. Her eyes sparkled as she tilted her head to look at him on the balcony. "He’s back! Our baby is finally home!"

Dimitri turned, his usual reserved expression melting into an unrestrained smile. He stepped back into the room, his hands resting on his hips as he took in her radiance.
