Chapter thirty five

As Ji-Won knelt beside Hye-Jin, attempting to console her despite her drunken stupor, Eun-Ji approached him with a sense of urgency.

"Ji-Won, the cab is waiting outside," she whispered, her voice tinged with concern. "We should get Hye-Jin home."

Ji-Won nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. With a gentle hand, he carefully lifted Hye-Jin onto his back, supporting her weight as he rose to his feet. Hye-Jin murmured softly, her words barely coherent as she nestled against him.

"Let's go," Ji-Won said quietly to Eun-Ji, his voice filled with determination.

Together, they made their way out of the café, Ji-Won bearing Hye-Jin's weight with practiced ease. The cab driver waited patiently outside, watching as Ji-Won approached with his burden.
