Abigail was so terrified that she believed they would hurt her. She begged the soldier to release her, but he approached her, wrenched her wrist, and then dragged her over to King Raphael.
King Raphael had already taken a seat on his throne when the guard returned, so when the guard arrived with her, he shoved her to the ground in front of the monarch.
"Easy," King Raphael remarked in a quiet, soothing tone. "You don't toss a beautiful lady like that," he added.
The guard said, "I'm sorry, Your Majesty," and backed away slightly.
King Raphael approached Abigail while standing up. He knelt down and gently lifted her face with his thumb and index finger, "What is your name, beautiful maiden?"
"Abigail," frightened Abigail said.
"You don't have to be afraid of me, my love. Who is your father?" Asked by King Raphael:
"King Orion," declared Abigail. She was so terrified that she started crying.
"King Orion?" Raphael surprisingly asked:
"Yes," she replied.
"King Orion is the king of North Kadi and my friend," King Raphael said as he turned away from her and strode back to his throne. Why wouldn't he inform me that he has a daughter? I'm sure you're lying," he said.
The guard at the palace remarked, "Your Majesty if she claimed to be the daughter of King Orion, let us inquire of the soldiers you sent to North Kadi where they brought her from."
"That's a great idea, go get the men I dispatched to North Kadi and let them know I told them to get here right away,"
The guard responded, "Yes, your majesty," and went to summon the soldiers who attacked North Kadi. They eventually arrived and approached King Raphael. King Raphael stood and approached them gently.
"Which one of you brought this maiden?" King Raphael asked,
One of the men said, "I did your majesty," with his face turned away.
"And where did you find her?"
"At the castle, Your Majesty," the soldier said after glancing at her.
He said, "So King Orion had a daughter and he never told me," but nobody responded. He ordered, "Lock her in the dungeon, we would use the others as a sacrifice but this maiden, lock her up," and one of the soldiers yanked Abigail and carried her to the dungeon as the other troops fled from King Raphael's presence.
AT NORTH KADI
King Orion of North Kadi was in a panic and he was furious that King Raphael could send his soldiers to assault his village. He wanted to send some of his soldiers to Misting Town, but he was unable to do so since he was confident that they would be defeated there.
The palace guard remarked, "Perhaps Your Majesty if you had listened to me when I said you should tell Abigail who she is, this wouldn't have happened."
"Oh, shut up, the gods told me not to let her fall in love,"
The guard answered, "I'm sorry Your Majesty, but it is not a good reason for not informing her who she is.
"It is," roared King Orion.
"I'm Sorry, Your Majesty, but don't you believe she would be furious with you if she finds out that she's a witch, no matter where she is? The guard warned, "She would be furious that you concealed the truth from her if she ever finds out she's a witch wherever she is and battles her way out of there at last,"
"You're correct, but what will we do? If I tell you and your troops to go battle them for her release, you'd all be dead meat," King Orion remarked.
"Your majesty, we must take a chance because it is better to attempt and fail than to give up. Our village will be destroyed if we lose Abigail, the guard said.
He approached King Orion, who put his hand on his shoulder.
"You have spoken well, and I will make you my commander because of your wisdom,"
He answered, "Thank you, Your Majesty; I'm so honoured."
"Good, now send your men to Misting Town and bring my daughter back to me,"
The guard nodded his head and replied, "Yes, your majesty," before leaving King Orion's presence.
The North Kadi warriors headed to Misting town with their swords. After a brief journey, they arrived in Misting Town, but all of North Kadi's soldiers aside from the commander, who was eventually taken hostage were destroyed within a short period. King Raphael gave his forces the order to prepare the kidnapped victims for tonight's sacrifice after North Kadi's soldiers were annihilated.
