Chapter 12: The Surprise Wolves

Ella's Point of view.

To my utter relief and disbelief, I saw Henry's eyes flutter open, his chest rising and falling at a steady pace as he took a deep, gasping breath. For a moment, he seemed disoriented, his gaze flickering around the room before finally settling on me.

"Ella?" he murmured, his voice hoarse and weak.

I couldn't help but let out a shaky breath, relief flooding through me like a tidal wave. "Henry, you're awake," I exclaimed, my voice trembling with emotion.

He nodded slowly, his expression a mix of confusion and gratitude. "What happened?" he asked, his brow furrowing in concern.

I hesitated, unsure of how much to tell him. But then, seeing the sincerity in his eyes, I knew I had to be honest. "You were...under some sort of spell," I explained carefully. "I tried everything to wake you up."

Henry's eyes widened in realization, and he reached out to grasp my hand tightly. "Thank you, Ella," he said softly, his voice filled with genuine gratitude.
