Brothers In Arms - II

Outside the gym, Sammy and the three friends raced around a corner, then stopped, breathless and laughing.

"Are we really in trouble?" Sammy asked them.

"I wouldn't worry about it," Arthur said. "If they punish us, they'll have to punish Kappa Alpha Rho. And they won't do that."

"What is Kappa Alpha Rho?" Sammy said.

"Let's go and get a coffee," Isaac said, "and we'll tell you."

There was a coffee shop on campus where they ordered drinks. Isaac also had a large piece of cake.

"I need to replace all the energy I lost," he said when the others made fun of him.

Sammy could see how he could be overweight despite all the exercise he did. The three friends mocked each other all the time but in an affectionate way. They called Arthur "old man," though Sammy thought he was no more than twenty-two or twenty-three. He seemed to be the leader of the group.

They made fun of Henry for being vain.

"I don't see what's wrong with dressing well," he said.
