Obsession - II

The next weeks were happy and productive. It was obvious that Mitch had no other place to go, so Amy gave him her spare room and a key to the front door. He was a tidy and respectful lodger. He usually stayed in bed late, but that suited Amy, as she used that time for doing her household chores and, with her 'muse' in the house, she was superbly focused on her writing. Amy felt she was producing some of her best work and had Mitch to thank for that.

Most days, the black panther would wake around two or three in the afternoon and stumble with a tousled head into the kitchen. Loose pajama bottoms showed enough of his body to make Amy's face light up with pleasure. She admired his broad shoulders and tight abs. Apart from being on the thin side, he was beautiful. The scars only added to his mystery.

Mitch loved food, and he loved to cook. He took over the kitchen during his waking hours.
