Seung noticed something else.

His eyes shot upwards. The blue sky was gently fading, not into twilight, but into something much darker. The moon dipped beyond the horizon, and the sky turned entirely black. Seung knew this unnatural phenomenon was the work of the Blood Demon, rapidly shifting day into night.

Inside the academy, everyone had gathered in the compound, faces turned upward, astonished murmurs filling the air. The braided man stood by his office window, one arm crossed behind him while the other stroked his beard.
