Over Spending

The middle-aged saleswoman introduced herself professionally, saying, "Hello, sir. My name is Amy. How may I assist you today?" As she spoke, she subtly leaned forward, directing her attention towards the fat Georgie, ensuring he caught a glimpse of her white cleavage.

Amy couldn't help but think to herself, "With my experience, I know these rich guys can be vulnerable to a woman's charm, especially from someone like me, a bit more mature. If I give this little guy a glimpse of my skin, I might just secure my whole month's salary from this one sale alone."

As it turned out, Amy's intuition about the fatty Georgie was spot on. From the moment Amy approached them, the fatty's eyes were fixated on her chest. When she leaned forward slightly, Daniel and Henry couldn't help but feel like the fatty was about to start drooling any moment with the way he was staring.

Quickly, Daniel nudged the fatty with his elbow to bring him back to reality. Meanwhile, Henry took charge of the conversation and addressed Amy, "Thanks, Miss Amy. We're in the market for a car, but our budget isn't too generous. Could you recommend some good options within our price range?"

Upon hearing the word "budget," Amy quickly assessed the type of friend Harry was. With wealthy guys like the fatty, there are typically two kinds of people who become friends. Some want to mooch off the fatty's wealth, while others genuinely care about him and try to prevent him from spending unnecessarily. Amy could tell that Henry fell into the latter category.

But Amy was unfazed by the situation, as she was experienced in dealing with such individuals. With a subtle glance towards the fatty, she replied, "Oh, sir, I didn't realize you were short on cash. Don't worry, we have plenty of affordable options in our shop. You can find something within your budget."

Although it appeared as if she was addressing Henry, her words were aimed at Georgie. Amy understood the sensitivities of wealthy individuals like Georgie. They disliked the implication that they couldn't afford certain items due to their financial situation, especially when it came from a woman like her.

And she was right. When Georgie heard the insinuation that he couldn't afford things, he felt a pang to his pride. To save face, he laughed loudly and declared, "Who says I can't afford things? There's nothing I can't buy. Show me your best cars."

Henry's expression darkened upon hearing Georgie's boastful remark, while Amy couldn't help but smile to herself, knowing her strategy had worked.

After spending nearly an hour inside the shop, the trio emerged once again, having just purchased a car that would be delivered to Georgie's uncle's house on his birthday.

From Daniel's perspective, the situation before and after buying the car didn't seem all that different. Before entering the shop, Georgie had been furious with Henry. Now, after their shopping trip, it was Henry who was seething with anger at Georgie. The roles had reversed.

Daniel observed how Henry's anger flared during their time in the shop, especially when the saleswoman showed them the expensive cars. Standing beside Henry, Daniel could practically see the veins bulging in his friend's forehead with rage.

Henry's frustration was justified. He had repeatedly tried to prevent Georgie from being swayed by the saleswoman, but Georgie had stubbornly ignored his advice every time. After numerous failed attempts, Henry had resigned himself to letting Georgie do as he pleased. As they both feared, Georgie ended up spending 40K more than their initial budget, all because of the persuasive words of the saleswoman.

George was well aware of Henry's simmering anger, but he also knew how to defuse the tension. "Hey, guys," he suggested, "since you've both come all this way to help me, let's go grab a bite at a nearby restaurant. There's a great one nearby."

Henry, still visibly irritated, retorted, "Who eats at this hour? Besides, I've already had breakfast. I don't need your treat." Despite his frustration, Henry reached out and hugged both of his friends. "Don't be so stingy," he said. "It's not like I spent a fortune. Plus, this car is for my uncle, so my dad won't mind the extra expense. And if you come with me, I'll explain why I went over budget despite your warnings."

Daniel chimed in this time, "Why else would you do it? You wanted to impress that woman, didn't you? And what about your girlfriend? Why are you always eyeing every girl you see?"

Georgie remained silent, simply smiling as he grabbed both Henry and Daniel, leading them towards the restaurant he had mentioned earlier. Henry and Daniel didn't resist; instead, they allowed Georgie to pull them along, heading towards the restaurant without protest.

The trio stood outside a newly opened restaurant. Even though it was new, the restaurant's luxurious exterior made it clear that only the affluent could afford to dine there. They walked inside, and a waiter escorted them to a private room, presenting them with menus.

Georgie turned to his friends with a grin. "Order whatever you want, guys. This treat is on me, so don't hold back. The food here is amazing."

Henry and Daniel scanned the menu and were both taken aback by the exorbitant prices. The cost of each item was at least double that of other high-end restaurants. Usually, luxury dining came with a higher price tag, but this restaurant was taking it to the next level.

Henry couldn't help but think it was a blatant rip-off. Daniel shared his sentiment, both of them feeling a mix of shock and disbelief as they looked over the pricey menu.

Both Henry and Daniel exchanged glances and set down their menus simultaneously. Daniel spoke up, "Georgie, let's not eat here. Look at these prices. The restaurant you took us to last month was great. Let's go there instead."

As Daniel began to rise from his seat, Georgie quickly reached out and made him sit back down. "Why are you guys so concerned about the money? I told you I'm paying, so relax and order what you want. I haven't had breakfast yet, so let me order first."
