My Dad's scarier

Listening to his Mom had been frustrating since he couldn't say what he wanted, but he also appreciated hearing what she had to say.

He wasn't going to listen to her completely, but he appreciated her words nonetheless. While they rested together, Kellen holding her hand and leaning against her shoulder while she had her arm wrapped around his shoulder, Kellen had a lot to think about. His body also slowly relaxed, and he found he had a bit more control over himself.

A soft set of knocks sounded from the door before the door was pushed in slightly.

"Is it alright if I come in?" Rhys' voice was gentle and Kellen felt his shoulder's relax even more. "Your husband has said that dinner is prepared enough, and he wants to speak to his boy. I didn't think you wanted me to carry him up." Rhys said and Kellen's Mom sighed.
