"Come here, Rhys." Kellen ordered, and Rhys swallowed before he glanced up at Kellen's face through his eyelashes. The man's eyes were wet, he was going to cry. Kellen wasn't sure what the feeling in his chest was when he realised that. All he knew was that he didn't like it, and he was going to comfort this man.
"What do you want me to do?" Rhys asked, sniffing and Kellen made sure his shirt wasn't in the way. Then, he glanced down at his own body.
Okay, he would admit it. That did look pretty nasty.
It didn't feel nasty, however, since Taylor had done a good job on it. Even though it was probably very intensive to heal, she had made sure that it caused him the least amount of pain. She had already told him that breaks were easy to heal. Bruising probably took a lot out of her. She'd done that though, and had asked him to guide her so that she could. He really needed to give her more than some cookies they had worked on together to make.
