The Weight of Loss

Daisuke returned to his home, his steps heavy and slow; feet dragging along the ground. The once warm and inviting house now felt cold and empty. He shut the door behind him, locking himself away from the world.

The memories of Makoto lingered in every corner, haunting him. He sank to the floor, his back against the door, and buried his face in his hands. The pain was overwhelming, a constant ache that refused to subside.

Days blurred together as he remained isolated, trapped in a cycle of grief and despair. His mind replayed the events over and over, each memory cutting deeper into his heart.

Meanwhile, Sakutarō, Kotoba, and Hōkai's son, Kaneko, continued to search for Makoto. They had received word that the fight had taken place, and knew they had to find him.

As they approached the area, the sight of Makoto's lifeless body stopped them in their tracks. The once formidable warrior and leader lay motionless, his spirit departed.
