"Hmm, you two are early today." Li Chi said, walking up to Liang Feng and Wei Lan.

"Hello Master Chi." Liang Feng said as he and Wei Lan greeted Li Chi by cupping their fist.

"Master Chi, we were told to come here by Master Zhi." Liang Feng said.

Nodding his head, Li Chi told them the main purpose of him bringing them here.

"As you have seen during your second exam. In the Odyssey of Knowledge, you'll get a book that is most suited for you and is free, but for every other book you'll have to pay for them yourself. Of course since you're under my squad, the Demon Seed of Mind, you'll get a monthly allowance of three books." Li Chi said with a smile.

"Master, what do the books include?" Wei Lan asked.

"Well, Wei Lan, the books can include anything you'd think about. Since we are the most powerful Sect that the Konglin continent has right now, we have the largest collection of books known to man. I'm sure if you tried hard enough you could even find a book about Puppetry." Li Chi said proudly.

Liang Feng coughed slightly, hearing his most favorite professions get insulted, but he understood that puppetry is known as the weakest profession out of them all.

"Now, I'll allow you two to get your books now ahead of everyone else since you're already here." Li Chi said.

"Master, may I ask when the Sect exams start for us recruits?" Liang Feng asked as he followed Li Chi.

"The Sect exams start in three months and last for a week. You'll be put up against the other four Demon seeds. You'll be tested in fights, after all, we are the Demon Sect, not the Demon Sect of flowers. And then afterwards, you'll be given a task that you'll have to complete by the end of the year." Li Chi said as he walked through the many bookshelves with Liang Feng and Wei Lan following behind him.

After a few minutes of walking, Li Chi stopped in front of a bookshelf that had a lot of books and cultivation manuals on it.

"Here, circulate your Qi and think of the path you want to take. The books will naturally come to you." Li Chi said with his arms crossed.

Looking at the shelf full of books, Liang Feng followed what Li Chi told him to do, and circulated his Qi while thinking of the path he wanted to take.

Li Chi, being in the True Qi realm, has very keen senses, so he can sense how a person is cultivating and what path they are taking.

As Liang Feng was circulating his Qi, some of the books flew off the shelf and stopped in front of him. There were a total of 20 books, which surprised Li Chi since most people can't even get one, that's why he allows three books in his seed as many cannot even reach this level.

Picking up one of the books, Liang Feng saw that it was about formations and other formations techniques. The rest of the books were about formations and even had some on puppetry.

"And this is why I allow you into my Seed." Li Chi said as he looked at the 20 books floating in front of Liang Feng.

"Thank you Master Chi." Liang Feng said as he picked out three books.

One was a book that was titled "Strengthen Formation," another was called "Heart of Metals," and the last being "Poison and Medicine."

Liang Feng picked these three books since he was curious about them. Learning formation might be able to strengthen his puppets while learning about metals could help him while he builds his puppets. As for the last, considering he wants to add poison to himself, he was interested in what it could do.

"Make sure to return the books by the end of the month, and don't think about trying to keep them as you own them." Li Chi said sternly.

"I wouldn't dream of it, Master." Liang Feng said as he stored the books away in his ring and followed Li Chi back to the entrance.

"Don't forget, your monthly allowance is three books and you must pay for any other books you wish to purchase." Li Chi said before he went back to his seat.

"Thank you Master." Liang Feng said again, this time bowing his head slightly before he left the Odyssey of Knowledge with Wei Lan following him with two books in his hands.

"What books did you get?" Wei Lan asked, curious seeing that Liang Feng didn't have any in his hands.

"I got a book about formations, metals, and poison. What about you?" Liang Feng asked, pointing to the books in his hands.

"Well, I got a book about spearmanship and body forging. Sadly I couldn't get a third book, but I can come back later and grab one." Wei Lan said.

"Why don't you put it in a storage ring?" Liang Feng asked. 

He looks like a noble man to him, with his temperament and the way he walks. Though, he does have his faults when it comes to privacy.

Hearing Liang Feng words, the expression on Wei Lan's face turned bitter, and his nails dug into the palm of his hands.

"Let's just say I was just a tool for my family." 

Liang Feng raised a brow, and rested his hand on Wei Lan's shoulder. 

He understood very well. Although he was killed and wasn't used as a tool, the hard feelings are still there.

The two walked back to their room in silence, and when they entered, the two looked at each other with an awkward silence.

"Uhh, so how do we practice without annoying the other person?" Wei Lan asked, running his hand down his smooth black hair that was tied up as a pony tail.

"I only have to study, not practice, so just do whatever you want." Liang Feng said, but thought of another thing.

"Hey, when you're not using that body forging book, can I read it?" 

Wei Lan was stunned for a moment and looked at Liang Feng with hesitation.

"Is this good? Will Master Chi allow this?" He asked.

"He never said we couldn't." Liang Feng said.

"Then sure." Wei Lan agreed, not seeing the harm in this.

Liang Feng smiled and said thanks, and went to study his own books that would take literal seconds.
