Home

Home... where was home? Was it the royal castle she had just married into, or the home she had grown up in? She wasn't sure. She had left the castle that morning and began to miss it.

"How far from home?" she yelled to the carriage man, leaning her head out of the window.

"My queen, it is quite dangerous to bring your head out; please sit inside," the horseman cautioned.

But Madeline couldn't resist. It was her first time visiting home after the wedding, and it felt like she was traveling as a different person. She was now the queen of the country. How would the people welcome her? How would they view her? She clasped her shaking hands together. "Home," she whispered to herself. "There was no need to be scared of home."
