Madeline Rose had only ever worked in her father's local blacksmith shop and occasionally helped her mother at the farm. Her skin had become tanned from the hot sun, but despite all of this, she did not complain. Even though she didn't come from a wealthy home, she was content. 



However, her life turned upside down when she stumbled upon a darkness that refused to leave her alone. 




There was him, a man cloaked in mystery and malice, a presence that sent chills down her spine. His eyes, shrouded in shadows, held a depth of darkness that seemed to swallow the light around him. 





When their paths crossed, Madeline felt a cold dread wash over her, as if she had invited a malevolent force into her world.

While the battle continued, Anna went in search of Draven. Her mind was filled with so much pain that she did not begin to search for him mentally. Instead, she reached for the place where he had gone before the war and where he had taken Sarah.

She loved him; there was no doubt about that. However, Draven's heart beats for only one person, and she would not come between them.

Today, there was a fight, and she was merely going as a friend to warn him away from the castle. Losing the only crown prince to the throne was like losing the entire vampire community.

She had mistrusted his love for Sarah. She had doubted that the daughter of the goddess was anything but a threat. However, a realization had just dawned on her. Evil comes from the mind, and just because Sarah's blood posed a danger to all did not define who she was. Sarah's intentions were never to harm anyone, and that is what truly matters.
