A man charged at Mindaza, sword raised high, but she swiftly countered his attack with remarkable finesse. In a swift move, Mindaza drew her own blade, poised to protect herself from the looming danger. Unfazed by her readiness, the attacker lunged forward, directing a rapid strike toward her leg, intent on seizing control of the fierce clash. Without hesitation, Mindaza leaped into action.
As she soared into the air, her body twisted gracefully, and with a swift motion, Mindaza delivered a precise cut to the man's neck, causing a torrent of crimson blood to erupt instantly.
"Whooaa!" The men's eyes widened when they saw what she did.
The two Northern men stepped forward, one brandishing a gleaming sword while the other gripped a massive axe with both hands. They took their stances, their bodies tensed and poised like ice that had abruptly solidified, creating an imposing barrier before Mindaza.
Ganadara finally reaches the top in time, where she finds Mindaza surrounded by enemies. In the opposite direction, more opponents focused in Mindaza's direction, resulting in a tense standoff. She moved quickly, realizing a threat was coming.
Ganadara fell from her elevated perch with a powerful leap, immediately decapitating the two men holding the rope in one swift action. She ran towards the other men, holding an axe, ready to strike them with her sword. When Ganadara knocked down her opponent, she and Mindaza locked their eyes. They nodded to each other as the leader of the opponents launched for the second fierce battle against the two of them.
"Kill this two people!" the tall man with a thick beard announced.
"Can we defeat them all?" Mindaza said.
"Remember this words from me: Hold your swords, listen to the air and follow what your heart says" After Ganadara said this, they attacked together to defend themselves against the enemy.
Ganadara possesses a remarkable talent that Mindaza has just begun to recognize it, her incredible ability to leap to great heights. She resembles a nimble lizard, effortlessly scaling walls and navigating the ropes that are secured around her. As long as she can find something to grip, she ascends with agility, using this skill not only to evade her foes but also to strategize her next move in the battle.
In the midst of the battle, Mindaza found herself bested by an opponent. Armed with a bow, she swiftly seized the weapon and expertly notched three arrows, directing them toward a nearby target. With a decisive release, the arrows flew through the air, striking the three men standing beside the tall figure adorned with a lengthy beard.
The tall man got angry so he came down from the top.
An unexpected explosion erupted from the cliffside, sending shockwaves through the air. Both the adversaries and the group of spiral hunters stood froze in disbelief, their gazes fixated on the smoldering remnants of the cliff. In the midst of the chaos, a resounding drumbeat echoed, serving as a clarion call that warned all present of the impending danger.
"What does it mean?" Mindaza said as she look at the cliff.
"Ahh!!" a loud voices.
Mindaza immediately turned around when she heard Ganadara's voice. The incident happened so quickly, leaving her momentarily stunned as the tall man hurled an axe with precision, striking Ganadara's leg. The force of the blow sent her crashing violently against the wall of their ship.
"Ganadara!! No!" Mindaza shouted. Right on that direction, Mindaza saw the ropes tied to a small boat, it was hanging over the side of the ship. She hit it with her bow, and the weight of the boat caused it to fall into the water.
Next, she hit the two men who had climbed up last to catch her, and Mindaza hit them right on the stairs.
The steady pounding of the drums resonated through the air, generating a tremendous resonance that felt almost real. Mindaza's blade erupted with a ferocious energy, pulling at her very essence as if it were a powerful magnet, amplifying the energy and surging into her grasp.
"Hey!" Mindaza called. The tall man look at her.
With a swift motion, he drew his sword from its sheath on his back, now wielding two gleaming blades in his hands. He advanced toward Mindaza, his eyes locked onto hers, unwavering and intense, as if nothing else in the world mattered at that moment.
"Mindaza, careful!" Ganadara shouted in the distance. Even though her leg was sore and bleeding, she managed to get up. He cut a piece of cloth hanging on the wall and tied it around her injured leg.
The tall man swung his sword with precision, aiming to strike Mindaza with his right blade. However, Mindaza skillfully evaded the attack, narrowly escaping the blow. As the man followed up with a left-handed strike, Mindaza was caught, she barely managed to react in time, but the blade grazed her arm, leaving a painful cut on her right side.
Mindaza recoiled, for the first time, she felt pain and agony in her body. This caused her to have a strong outburst of anger..
"Mindaza, look out!"
As Mindaza shifted her gaze towards Ganadara, a spear suddenly hurtled down from above. At that very moment, as the tall man in thick beard turned his head, the deadly tip of the spear found its mark, driving deep into his neck with a brutal precision.
Mindaza, taken aback by watching the tall man fall to the floor together with his blood. At that moment she quickly gathered her courage and made her way to Ganadara without hesitation. Utilizing a sturdy rope, she skillfully assisted Ganadara in descending the steep incline to reach the small boat that bobbed gently on the water's surface. Without a moment's delay, Mindaza joined her, and together they navigated the waters back to their own ship, where her mother awaited their return.
"I'm coming!" Mindaza called.
The surge of power ran through her again as she grabbed the paddle and thrust it hard into the water.
"Mother!" she yelled as the sounds of battle increased. There was the roaring of men and the repetitive, sinister chant.
Mindaza stood on the boat, looking west as the ship's blazing torches flashed across the waves, casting fleeting glimpses of the chaos of battle. The formidable enemy ships had already departed, advancing steadily toward the spiral hunter's ship.
Mindaza swore in frustration at her inability to take part. She saw the darting shape of men silhouetted against the torchlight, heard a long, drawn-out scream and heard the splash as somebody or something fell into the water.
The flames of the torches flickered, casting the area into a deep, impenetrable darkness. For a brief moment, the shouting continued, but soon it gradually diminished to a few thuds that eventually died away. An uneasy calm settled over the scene, interrupted only by the soft murmur of the waves and the distant call of a gull gliding across the bright sky. A voice rang out, breaking the silence, and soon the steady thud of the oars began again.
While Ganadara was slowly help her behind. Mindaza's grip on the oar tightened as she made her way towards their ship. With each stroke, she moved with intention and caution, slicing through the water as her pulse quickened, a desperate hope to find a survivor. The weight of the situation weighed on her, but her determination is what pushed her forward.
A woman from the spiral hunter showed her face, floating in the water with a wound on her face, she was dead, and many more bodies were floating, all dead. The water was now mixed with blood, one from the northen men was also floating, with his intestines sticking out next to him, its for food for the questing gulls. There were pieces of broken coble and spear. No one survived, no one to bring hope.
And finally, Mindaza saw her mother, floating face up with two large wounds on her chest, but her right arm was missing. Mindaza tried to reach her, but Sulaya slowly sank into the water. She was alone, and there was only darkness in the world that seemed to be pulling her below.
"You knew it was a final farewell," she said, as the hot tears burned in her eyes.
"You were saying goodbye to me." Mindaza felt her voice choke into silence.
"You should have told me, Mother!"
"Aa.ah..ahmmm.. mmm.." A haunting, siren-like wail echoed through the air as Mindaza cried, her sorrow palpable and deep.
Ganadara, feel the weight of her pain, instinctively wrapped her arms around her, offering solace in their shared grief. In that moment, their tears mingled, a testament to their bond as they both surrendered to the overwhelming tide of emotion.
"Mo..ther!!!"
