Allies, Betrayal, and the Path to Survival

Bruce felt like throwing something, or breaking something, or punching something… he… he just felt like damaging something. Everything was going so well, so incredibly well, the Ultron bots were taken care of, the cradle is in front of him and the rest of the team are resting and healing plus Harry will be back soon. But no… that would be too simple.

It turned out that the person who was responsible for stopping Ultron from gaining nuclear codes was Jarvis, apparently Jarvis hadn't been completely destroyed, Tony was able to find him and piece him back together. And now Tony was arguing for placing Jarvis into Ultron's perfect body and Bruce hated himself for actually starting to see what Tony was saying. Bruce couldn't help but think the idea was a good one, even if he hated, now he just had to pray that Harry would at least hear them both out long enough for them to explain, if not then there would possibly be two less Avengers on the team… and in the land of the living.

"Alright, tell me what you want, now." Harry said as he and the Maximoff twins stood on top of a building, Harry had teleported the two there in the hopes of a private conversation.

"U… Ultron, I saw his plan." Wanda gulped.

"Saw his plan?" Harry repeated.

"He plans to destroy the world." She said with a somber expression on her face.

"Destroy the world?" Harry echoed, his eyes widening slightly.

"Yes, I saw your memories, I experienced what you saw and felt. I never want to experience that again." Wanda said

"Try experiencing it first hand," Harry said as he rubbed his eyes. He was tempted to point out that she'd be too dead to experience it but decided that was not really what he should be focusing on.

"The cradle," Wanda said suddenly, "did you get it?" She asked in a hopeful voice.

"It's being taken care of, it's with Stark, he'll take care of it." Harry replied.

"No he won't." Wanda said, shaking her head and looking scared.

"Look, you hate Stark. I get it, I really do. And I will be the first to admit that he is an idiot, but despite what you might think, he is a good person."

"He will do anything to make things right." Wanda replied in a worried voice. Harry blinked at her for a second before his eyes widened in realization.

"Stark," Harry said into his communication device. "Stark you had better answer. Nat? Barton? Anyone on comms?"

"Ultron can't tell the difference between saving the world and destroying it, where do you think he gets that?" Wanda asked.

"Fuck," Harry cursed before he looked at both twins. "okay, you two are coming with me." Harry said after a few moments.

"What?" Pietro blinked.

"You come with me or I break your legs to make sure you don't interfere." Harry said in an impatient voice as he held his arm out. "Now, grab on." Harry ordered.

"Come on Pietro." Wanda said, grabbing Harry's arm.

"Fine." Pietro sighed before grabbing Harry's arm. Harry teleported them away and they landed in Avenger's tower. "Whoa!" Pietro exclaimed as he shook his head, he seemed to be handling it better than Wanda who looked like she was about to puke.

"You get used to it," Harry said just as Padfoot ran up to him. "hey boy, where the hell is everyone?"

"Woof." Padfoot barked.

"Where are the others?" Harry asked.

"Woof."

"Stark and Banner are up in their lab, Romanoff and Barton arrived a while back." Harry said as he began walking with Padfoot and the twins following after him.

"You can understand him?" Pietro asked in a surprised voice.

"I can do a lot of things, mate." Harry said just as he came across Sif.

"Harry," She said in a surprised voice. "what are you…

"I'll explain later." Harry cut her off as he walked past her. "get everyone and bring them to the lab, quickly." Harry called. He and the twins soon reached the lab. "Oi Stark," He said when he saw Banner and Bruce working on the cradle. "having fun?"

"About as much as one can in this situation." Tony said with a small shrug.

"Tony, shut that down now." Harry said.
