67. Angel Wings (2)

"Would you... like to see them?"

I asked Davian hesitantly and his eyes grew even wider and he leaned forward.

"A-Are they also because of some magical device?" He asked.

"Yes, right. I have them because of a magical device." I lied and he blinked, clearing his throat.

"Let's finish the breakfast first and then, talk about it."

Maybe it was because he was going to see something that would be humanly impossible for anyone else. He was but a kid, and any kid would be curious when he heard that they would get to wings on another person.

We finished our breakfast and the maids cleared everything before Davian and I were the only ones left. I walked over and closed the windows and drew the curtains.

"Why are you closing them?" Davian asked and I walked back to him.

"You'll see."
