"Fine," Phil said after a moment, "but I'll take you to the airport. Elena and I will come over to Zeden after you get there. You shouldn't be alone right now, Liam," he said and Liam shook his head. "No, don't bother. Stay with Elena and Fiona. She needs you both here," Liam said not wanting Fiona to be left alone with a family she's still struggling to accept.
"I'm serious," Phil insisted, his tone leaving no room for argument. "I'm taking you to the airport. Elena and I will figure things out later, but for now, let me make sure you get there," Phil said and Liam sighed.
Liam's shoulders sagged slightly, a sign of his exhaustion, but he didn't argue further. He climbed into the car, and Phil followed, starting the engine. As they drove in silence, the weight of the situation hung between them, unspoken but ever-present.
