Over the past seven days, our missions have yielded critical information regarding the emergence of the so-called Peacemakers. We've discovered that their weapon is no ordinary device; it utilizes advanced fusion electron reactor technology capable of absorbing our cosmic energy, which unfortunately results in the death of the victim. Regrettably, accessing their memories to discern their motives has proven difficult," reported Stella, the head captain of the Izigans, addressing the council.
Stella stood confidently in her distinct white tech suit, her hands crossed behind her back, in front of the council unit body. This council was composed of the supreme heads of the eight Izigan clans, seated around a high table that formed an arc. At the center of this arc sat Lord Orion, the supreme head of the Izigans in Galaxia. Each member's name was displayed prominently in front of them, representing their clans.
To the right sat Diana of the Nebula clan, known for their green cosmic energy. Next was Flynn of the Lava clan, whose members harnessed the power of orange cosmic energy, followed by Ava of the Earth clan, distinguished by their blue energy. Ember represented the Mage clan with red energy, and Remy of the Sun clan possessed yellow cosmic energy. Lucas of the Vixen's clan had purple energy, Liam of the Umbra clan had the unique black and white energy, and finally, Axel of the Scarlet Izigan clan was associated with pink.
The council members were in their late middle ages, some with white hair, others appearing to be around sixty. Izigans age more slowly than humans, so their physical appearance does not necessarily reflect their capabilities. Each was dressed in their clan's unique iron tech suit, the colors of their armor matching the cosmic energies of their respective clans.
In the imposing council chamber, tensions ran high. Flynn, a tall, striking figure with long white-dyed hair, addressed Stella with stern dissatisfaction.
"Any updates on The-Void? We face a formidable foe we have yet to fully comprehend. What's happening on Earth should not be troubling us. Stella, as the chief captain of the Izigans, you're expected to delve deeper into these matters, not merely scratch the surface. Those humans should not be your concern at all."
Stella, standing resolutely below the high table, met Flynn's gaze directly. "We are not so different from them, being humans, and I assure you, we are doing our utmost. Please allow me to fully explain the current situation on the ground, as I have always done, Lord Flynn. I must ask you not to interrupt me further."
Before Stella could continue, Ember, projecting authority and command, intervened with a loud and echoing voice, "Silence, captain. You are speaking before the council."
Flynn, visibly angered by Stella's defiance, snapped back, "How dare you speak to me like that, Stella? You will be punished for that, Captain."
"That's enough, Flynn," Lord Ember interjected, aiming to defuse the escalating confrontation.
Turning the discussion towards a recent development, Flynn changed tack, "Oh, Ember, I thought you mentioned that a recent candidate had unlocked the final stage of the Era Location Eyes. From what we know, that stage grants the most powerful virtual prowess, with the distinctive ability to bend reality itself."
"Yes, of course, he unlocked that ability and utilized it as best he could," Lord Ember replied, acknowledging the achievement.
Flynn, still dissatisfied, pressed on, "Would you now say that the second person to unlock that ability is a total failure because we wanted results?"
The conversation highlighted the council's high expectations and the immense pressures faced by those charged with defending their realms and harnessing such profound powers.
In the council chamber, a serious debate unfolded as tensions escalated. Lord Ember rebuked Flynn's earlier conduct,
"Do you have a problem regarding this, because I don't see how it seems to concern you? Your students contribute nothing more than acts of monks. Lord Flynn, your actions this morning are unacceptable, and you will learn to control yourself."
Diana intervened, attempting to restore calm among the council members, "That's enough, you two. We are supposed to initiate peace, not start a conflict within the council itself."
As the air thickened with tension, Stella remained standing before the council, ready to continue her report on the pressing matters at hand. It was then that Liam, curious about a particular detail, broke into the discussion, "What is this boy's name that unlocked the Era Location Eyes at such a young age?"
"His name is Cole Ryan, sir. He is one of the best reality manipulators the Mage Izigans has produced. We can trust his abilities," Stella responded confidently.
However, Lord Flynn expressed his skepticism, "I don't trust his abilities; I don't even trust him. Isn't he the twin brother of Henderson? His twin caused us a lot of pain three years ago, and lives were lost due to his foolish actions. And now, his brother here is growing stronger. Henderson hid his true abilities, and we never knew what he was truly capable of. What makes you think Cole isn't doing the same?"
Stella defended Cole, her voice steady and assured, "We made sure he was sealed away. Cole and I performed the complete sealing act. Cole may have hesitated during the battle with him, but he would never betray the Izigans."
Lord Flynn, unmoved by her assurances, insisted, "I don't care whether he sealed his brother or not. It doesn't matter. Keep your eyes on Cole. Like what Ember said, they never knew he had been working on the merge in reality technique."
The council was faced with deep-seated distrust and the daunting task of managing the potential risks associated with powerful abilities, especially given their previous experiences with Cole's twin brother, Henderson. The atmosphere was charged as they weighed their responsibilities to safeguard their community and manage the potent powers within their ranks.
As the tensions continued to escalate within the council chamber, Ava, the leader of the Earth Izigans, spoke up to remind everyone of the importance of nurturing the younger generation. "We should acknowledge what the present generation has achieved and what they are to achieve. The Izigan offspring will always be taught our culture and will always be whole," she stated.
However, Lord Flynn dismissed her comments with a harsh critique, "Ava finally has something to say. What has your clan done for us? Sorry to mention, but your clan is the weakest among all of us. This present generation should feel what real pain is. Their powers will awaken at a rapid rate; all they have to do is adapt. These people use their powers as magic shows on Earth. They need to know about losing their lives to protect the order of the universe."
Lord Lucas, the youngest member of the council and leader of the Vixen clan, noted Flynn's tendency to dominate the discussions, "Flynn always has to be the one lecturing us in every council meeting."
Lord Orion, as the supreme head of the Izigans, interjected, bringing the room to immediate silence. "There will be a call out this week. By the end of this week, all the Izigans on Earth, from the age of ten and above, will be moved up to Galaxia and prepared for training with immediate effect. Thanks to the past missions on Earth, these Izigans have been reminded that their place is here, and they are reminded of their purpose as Izigans. This is final and will be subject to change only if anything arises. This meeting is dismissed."
Stella, who had been attempting to report on the current situation on the ground, was cut off before she could finish. "I haven't finished explaining the current situation on the ground," she said, only to be met with surprise and disdain from the council members. Lord Flynn looked at her with disgust, "You've got some nerves." Lord Ember intervened, "Be gone," and with that, a circle of light appeared beneath Stella, teleporting her away.
She reappeared behind the door of the council chamber, where Kenneth, one of her close friends and an Earth Izigan wearing a blue shirt, was waiting for her. "Hey, what happened? Did you tell them? What was their response?" he asked anxiously.
"Leave it to them. If the council doesn't want me to speak, I should no longer be reporting to them. This new one will just end up like The-Void's case," Stella said, her frustration evident as she walked away angrily. This indicated a deep-seated issue within the council—a lack of willingness to listen and adapt, potentially foreshadowing further conflicts and challenges ahead.
