In the quiet of the room, she felt safe with her head on his arm. They often did the thing but cuddling together like this, making her feel loved and warm, this was new. Tonight, something felt strange. She couldn't figure out why she suddenly felt shy. They'd been together a long time, so feeling shy around him seemed odd.

She tried to think back to what might have caused it. Maybe it was the way he looked at her earlier, like he was seeing her in a new way.
