Travelling! II

The group reached the settlement after an hour of travelling and Kazutora released his senses to look at everyone in the group. He noticed four people, who had much more chakra than Yousuke and were suppressing their chakras.

At that same time, there were more than 30 people in the group who could manipulate their chakra, but from still signature, Kazutora understood that they hadn't used it for quite some time.

"You said you are strongest in the group, right?" Kazutora asked Yousuke, who paused for a second and then nodded at his words.

"Hmm, call everyone out. You might have traitors in the group," Kazutora murmured after thinking for a moment, and Yousuke's eyes widened as he heard the words.

"Traitors?" He said, wondering who the traitors in the group were, and he didn't think they would lie about such a matter. Yousuke and his group left to call everyone while Kazutora stared in a direction with a flicker in his eyes.

"How many do you think are traitors and how many are retired?" Kazutora asked while staring in a direction, and Hina opened her Byakugan to look around. She narrowed her eyes as she remembered Yousuke's words, and then the level of chakras other people had.

"The ones who are suppressing the chakra?" Hina murmured with a frown on her face, and her eyes flickered as she thought of something.

"If I say correctly, then I will have one wish."

"Okay," Kazutora shrugged at her words and saw Hina disappearing from her location. He teleported her back to her place, and said, "Missy, I asked you to guess, not pull them in Illusion."

"Eh?" Hina exclaimed at his words, and she saw Kazutora deadpanning at her fake reaction. A giggle escaped her lips, and they waited for everyone to gather.

"Between Six to Ten," Hina guessed after thinking for a moment, and Kazutora nodded at her words. When everyone had gathered, Hina and Kazutora walked to the location. They noticed the scared looks in people's eyes and knew that Yousuke had informed them of everything.

"The ones I am pointing, step in front," Kazutora said. He pointed at 40 people in the group and 12 of them gulped with their chakras fluctuating.

"If you are a traitor in the group, step forward and if you aren't, step backwards," Kazutora said while staring at the group, and they felt pressure on them. Several people stepped back instantly since they knew that they weren't traitors but then they looked at the people in front, and their eyes widened.

Murmurs started in the group as they looked at 14 people standing in front with their heads lowered. Looking at them, Yousuke was shocked and confused since two of them were his best friends.

"Moku, Soke? You two?"

The two mentioned people didn't look at Yousuke and just stared at the ground. It was then, the eyes of everyone in the group dulled, and three more people stepped forward with dull eyes.

Hina stared at the scene with a frown on her face since the number was twice more than what she had guessed.

Their eyes returned to normal, and everyone looked at three people who had also stepped forward without them knowing.

"Hmm! A group of 200 has 17 traitors," Kazutora murmured with a flicker in his eyes, and he snapped his finger. Various seal patterns appeared on their bodies, and Kazutora sealed their chakra while adding Truth-Speaking seals to them.

"Yousuke, you go and deal with them. Till then, I will look around and talk with others."

Yousuke nodded and with some people, he took those seventeen people away. There was a grim look on his face, and he wanted to question them as soon as possible.

As he took them away, Kazutora whispered to Hina, who nodded and moved. She took a few people away while Kazutora stared at everyone and said, "Can anyone show me around and answer some of the questions?"

"Eh?" "Me!"

While others were confused by his polite words, a little girl walked out and said, "Me! Me! I know everything."

Looking at her, Kazutora smiled gently, and he waved his hand. A chocolate appeared in his hand, and taking off the wrapper, he said, "Here, little girl! What's your name?"

"Monika!" Monika said as she took the chocolate from her gentle big brother, and she didn't notice the glances given to her by her mother. Kazutora chuckled at their actions, and he said, "No need to worry, I won't do something bad here."

"Instead, the more aware of the situation I know, the better it would be. Monika-Chan, show me around and I will give you more chocolates,"

"Mmm!" Monika hummed while munching the chocolate with a happy look on her face and Kazutora smiled while pinching her cheeks.

She started to move with Kazutora following her, and her mother stared at the scene with a worried look on her face. Even if Kazutora said that he wouldn't do anything, she couldn't suppress the worries in her heart and she wondered why her silent little daughter said those words and decided to show him around.

"This is the place we live. Even though the houses are separated, everyone lives together and helps each other. If someone needs something, the other person gives if they have it."

"That is my house and I live with my mother."

"There, we play for some time in the morning and evening. It's so hot at noon and we stay in our house."

"They get water from an oasis in that direction, and when they bring water, everyone prays for a better future."

"Sometimes, some beasts come around, and they are scared by Uncle Yousuke. Also, some insects make it difficult, but something is done."

Monika kept on speaking everything while Kazutora listened to her words and asked the things he wasn't clear about.

"What about Yousuke and Elders here? How do they treat everyone, the ones who can't do anything?"

"Uhh!" Monika paused as she heard the words, and she saw a bottle of water in her vision. She wondered how he could know that she wanted water, and Monika drank it while Kazutora waited.

"They treat me good, but they also shout at few. I don't know much so I can't say anything."

"Hmm! Then, why did you decide to come out while others were hesitating?" Kazutora asked with a flicker in his eyes, and he saw her lowering her gaze. He didn't say anything and just waited since he had seen a certain gleam and determination in her eyes, and he knew that she had many thoughts in her mind.

"I have a dream! I want everyone to be happy and they don't have to worry about food, water, clothes and shelter. Everyone here knows about you, and they say that you have the power to change the world."

"Many even said that you are selfish and even if you have power, you aren't doing anything that would make our situation better."

"Today when you arrived, I saw something. An opportunity! I don't know why but I can feel that you can help everyone, and I should just believe you."

"I felt that if I didn't say today, I wouldn't get a chance in my lifetime. So, I jumped ahead and said that I can show you around."

Kazutora stared at Monika staring at him with a shine in her eyes. He saw some reverence, hope, and expectance in her eyes, and hearing her words, he smiled and rubbed her head.

"You aren't wrong. I am indeed here to know more about everyone and what problems people are facing. I won't be able to solve the problem of every single one, but I will do what I can to make sure that everyone won't have the same problems."

Kazutora said while staring in the direction of an image forming in his mind. He didn't expect a normal eight-year-old girl to be this mature, and a sigh escaped his lips as he thought of the precociousness of the world.

Monika felt warmth in her body as Kazutora rubbed her head, and a sweet smile appeared on her face. She looked at Kazutora, who stared in a direction and asked, "What will you do?" with a curious look on her face.

"You go to your Mother. She is getting worried. I will look around more and design a plan in my mind. Also, here! Distribute these to everyone." Kazutora said as he created a Wood Clone, who held two bags in his mind. A plan was forming in his mind, and Monika looked at two Kazutora with her eyes widening.

"Woahhh! How did you do that?" Monika exclaimed, and in return, she got her cheeks pinched and they disappeared from their location. Kazutora sat down on the ground with a lost look on his face and his fingers caressed the warm sand on the ground.

"Is this, okay?" He murmured while gazing at the sand and noticed the natural energy around him changing. Closing his eyes, Kazutora connected with the natural energy in his surroundings and his chakra started to leave his body.

Hina, who was looking around while making note of a few things in her mind, sensed Kazutora's chakra signature. She stared in his direction with her Byakugan, and her expression changed as she saw his surroundings changing from sand to vegetation with grasses appearing on the ground and slowly spreading everywhere.

With her eyes narrowed, Hina stared inside the ground and noticed that not only the surface, but underground was also changing and turning to fertile soil with various canals and channels in it.

The ground started to shake, and Hina stared into the sky. She noticed the air in the surroundings getting humid, and others were stunned when they saw clouds gathering in the sky.

The bright sun was hidden by the clouds, and the surrounding hot temperature started to go down and become mild. Their eyes widened when they felt a drop of water falling on their faces.

It's been years since they had seen rain, and many kids didn't even know what rain was.

"Mom, is this rain?" Monika whispered as she stretched her hand and a water droplet fell on her hand. Her mother opened her mouth, but no words came from them. She was too shocked to even say anything since she knew that everything was done by the God of the Ninja world.

"G-God?" She murmured while remembering the polite man from before, and she felt her hand getting held by Monika.

"Mom, that gentle big brother said that he is here to know of our problems and do something to solve the problems everyone faces."

"Do you think I can do something like that in future?" Monika whispered while feeling the gentle cold shower on her face, and even though the water was cold, all she felt was warmth in her body.

"Ehh? My injuries?"

They heard some murmuring and saw a scar on his face healing.

"My leg! I can feel my leg again," Another person shouted as he started to walk on his legs and even run around.

"My back pain!" "My knees pain!" "My hand!" "My body!"

Everyone started to say as they noticed their injuries healing. They were already drenched in water because of the rain, and all of them knelt down on the ground.

"T-This! This land! This land has been blessed!"

"Our pleas have been listened to!"

"Someone has finally given us hope!"

"This earthly smell! This scent! I know this! This is the scent of fertile land."

"Hahahaha!" "We won't have to move kilometers away for food now."

"Everyone, fill your pots with this magical rain!"

"This is a blessing! A God's blessing!"

Everyone started to speak while moving here and there. Monika's mother was the same and she was also gathering the blessed rainwater for future use.

"Monika!" Monika, who was staring in the direction of Kazutora, heard her mother calling her.

"Come and help me," She turned to her mother, and ran to her with a happy smile on her face, and giggles escaped her lips as she felt cold rain on her face.
