Caspian's POV
Later, while my father was sending the letter to the Emerald Guild via one of his messengers, Sylas Aresius, I asked Russell if he would like to see him showing his Metal Manipulation. "Sure, that would be good, Caspian-kun," Russell positively responded back. His party and group wanted to join in, too.
So, all of us, except for Nathan, Cassius, and Mom, went to the training field in the center of the estate's wide gardens after getting permission from Mom. There I demonstrated my inherited ability with some metal gardening tools my parents' gardeners had left this morning. I used my ability to bend them. It did the trick, stunning Russell and his group.
"So cool…" Adrian commented.
Rai then nodded happily.
"Yup, that's Metal Manipulation for you," said I. "What's yours?"
In response, Russell then showed his ability with his sword.
According to him, it was his secondary ability called Lightning magic.
His party did the same thing one by one with their own abilities.
Russell-san and Nathan-san, as well as their friends, then showed their stats to me, and I was stunned at their current stats.
"Wow…" my mind said.
Third person POV
Caspian was amazed, before asking Russell if he was a Renad. Russell said yes, and Caspian was amazed, asking him what was his occupation. "Bus driver," Russell replied back, before sharing to him how he and his group met his father less than an hour ago.
Caspian was stunned, having heard stories of someone who manned and drove a 'strange-looking and complex vehicle' from his classmates and teachers at Wallisville's academy.
"That was so cool of you!" he responded in enthusiastic admiration.
Russell smiled upon being complimented.
Meanwhile, back at the drawing room, Nathan and Cassius revealed to Eliza what had happened to Kane last time while on their way to Wallisville. Eliza was shocked and thanked them for helping her husband and his entourage out. "Yes, no problemo, miss," Nathan responded with his heavy Spanish accent.
"We are lucky to be there at that time," Cassius added in a polite tone.
Later, lunchtime came, and Russell, Caspian, and the others are now eating in the grand dining hall. The food served is exquisite and was cooked by Kane's best cooks. Dessert consisted of 3-layer cakes in chocolate and vanilla cream and some sweet cookies. Russell and Adrian seemed to be enthusiastic on eating those foods. Secretly, Adrian compared it with the food at the royal palace in Rossley. But the boy considered both as equally good.
As his family and the others ate, Kane informed them that he had sent a letter of request to the Emerald Guild in Leafmight, with the additional request in his letter that Eloni should separate Elai and Belius from the rest of their party.
"Oh, separation, eh?" Russell raised a question.
Kane then solemnly nodded. "Yes, so the others would not see them for a while."
"Good punishment for them," Azalea commented.
Nathan then nodded in agreement.
